H8-roads If its off a tj, it'll bolt right up. I did the same thing, it bolts right up.

Wheelinyz Just found another thread posted by Jerry, he said you only need to change ujoint if the axle is a rubicon dana 44. Other wise it's bolt on swap.

rolandj I totally agree with you was just wondering cuz i founs a Dana 44 w discs and wondered what else I would have to do. Its just a jeep not a porsche haha .

Wheelinyz No disk brakes. And I don't think it's worth the hassle and money to convert. Not going to get that much better performance to warrant it IMO.

rolandj I heard about drive shaft too . I am curios to know what has to be done I want to do this. Does it have disc brakes

Questions about Dana 44 swap

Hey guy I just picked up a used dana 44 that I'm going to put into my 97. I currently have SYE and DC driveshaft with 4.5 in. lift on 33's on stock D35. Am I going to have to change anything for this to bolt up? I heard some places say you need to change the driveshaft again and others that its a simple bolt on mod. Can you guys give me more info?
