Salem50001 The ORFab tire carrier is separate from the tailgate. I don't own it on my rig but I have a friend who runs it and he loves it. Since you have a drop down tail gate this might be the best option.

I know this video is crappy but you see them opening the carrier.

Hope this helps you!

Tire carrier options.

So I'm at a cross roads here. I already have a bumper that I really like but does not come with a tire carrier. I also have a drop down tailgate from Rokmen. I'd like to know what my options are as far as getting bigger spares on. I know that there are tub mounted carries but all, exxogate, OR fab, best top, uses the swing out tailgate as a part of the carrier system. I don't have any personal experience with any of these so I might be missing something, if so please let me know. So are there any options out there to putting larger spares on, aside from getting a new bumper w/ a tire carrier?
My only viable option as of right now is to buy a latch and hinge assembly from poisonspyder and have a local shop fab up some for me, but that will run me more than double my bumper costs. I'd really rather keep my bumper. It Any help appreciated.
