|jadmt||believe it or not if you look at the top of the canister it will tell you what ft/lbs of torq is required. It is more then you would think but it has worked for me on 3 changes so far.|

|legitposter||Yeah I basically screwed it down all the way until it was impossible to screw it down anymore and stopped there. No actual torqueing.|

|enjerhoo||just until you contact the O-ring. Don't squash it, just come into contact plus a hair to make the seal.|

Torque on oil filter canister nut 3.6 engine?
What is the correct tightening procedure for the oil filter canister nut on the 3.6 engine. Torque? Or do you just tighten it similarly to the old screw on type?
