pimp20g I do believe it is a C-Clip axle and the steps you describe are exactly as they are in the hanes manual. That would work great if i had the stock diff in the rear axle. I have an ARB Airlockers in there and I have no ideal how to remove the axles from it. I am really stumped on this one. Has anyone removed the axles once they have installed air lockers?

TeeJay What axle do you have? If its a c-clip axle you have to rotate the carrier so you can pull the small bolt that holds the pinion shaft in place (tighten it first and then loosen it to prevent it from breaking) once that's out you slide the pinion shaft out, push in on the wheel and inside the carrier (like magic) will be your c-clip. Pull it out and out comes the shaft. You may need to loosen your rear brakes as well.

Rear axle shaft removal help

I have a 94 wrangler sahara with ARB airlockers in the rear axle. I need to remove the axle shafts to replace the rear oil seals. I have the diff cover off and thats about as far as i got. Does any one have a link to a walktrough of the removal process or can give me any tips on what to do to remove the shafts?
