Khatton The email I got in return stated this, "Kyle,
We have only 2 memberships available and both lots have cabins on them. which are for sale . If interested, call me at xxxxxxxxx
Thank you,
Richard"
So it sounds like you have to own some part of land on the ranch or something similar to that? I'll call him sometime to check.

EnglishBulldog1 I just shot timber ridge a email about membership I think I sent them one a year ago and and got told that they were not taking new members, worth a shot tho! However we should not have to seek membership in clubs to wheel! We all pay taxes and should have public land to wheel. There are city parks/state park for family's to play, public hunting grounds he'll even dogs have there own parks! We need to get legislation to be on our side to take wheelers off B roads, farmers fields and other "No-No place"! It's to late for this election, but if we band together we can get some change! Who is with me?
10-21-2014 12:22 PM
Khatton Right?! I've inquired with them regarding a membership and the costs so hopefully they respond fast. I can't imagine it's too hefty of a cost for membership.

yjJEEPyj Sounds legit! Wonder if its Dnr controlled. My off road jeep isnt registered

Khatton From another website that finds off-road trails, "Timber Ridge Ranch is the "Disney World" of Off Road Riding Parks in the Midwest. With over 2,500 acres and well over 100 miles of off road Iowa trails throughout the Loess Hills area. The terrain is mostly in the woods and the soil is silt like in areas and hardly ever "hard packed". It is not sandy but it is it's own unique mixture which is only found exclusively in the Loess Hills area. The trails may be used by members with the following vehicles: Jeeps & Trucks, Dune Buggy's, Dirt Bikes and Motocross Bikes, ATV's, Horseback, Mountain Bikes, Mopeds & Go-Peds, Off Road Roller Skates, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiles and Your Feet! "

Khatton 3 hours for me :/ I'm desperate though because I've yet to test out my new tires since I ran mine bone stock back in Indiana. It'd be worth it for a weekend road trip!

yjJEEPyj 5 hours from me >.<

Khatton I'm a student out in Ames and just came across Timber Ridge park in Castana. Is anyone interested in going here possibly the weekend of 01Nov or the following? I may make a post in the general discussion forum to see if there's anyone else interested.

EnglishBulldog1 Iowa is really lacking in public wheeling land. Which forces people to "tear" up B roads and other places. I would like to see if we can make a change. I am going to contact my DNR and see what needs to be done to change this. Who is with me?

Another place is called "The Farm" out past Pella. It's supposed to be a really good sized offroad park built there as well. It's for members of the Jeep Out Club of Central Iowa but anyone can join.

Also coming is up the Iowa Jeep Show 4x4 Event in Nevada. 2 Day event that includes some offroad courses and other events. That is the end of September (20'th and 21'st)

I have not gone to any 3 of these places before myself so I do not know the quality of them but I have heard all 3 are great.
If you join cedar valley jeep owners or iowa jeep club you can get access to the farm, I've been there a few times, it's a pretty awesome place.

yjJEEPyj Closest place that is worth it to go.. is the cliffs offrad park. Its next to Chicago. About a hour nd 45 mins from Davenport. It gets alot of hate, people say the trails are no maintained well. But are off road trails suppose to be maintained? Mise well go hit a level B! Na but its a solid place to wheel. They have a jeep event coming up weekend of August 23rd. Pm me if your interested!

yjJEEPyj I live in Maquoketa Iowa. I'm interested in your Club Firehawk. I know of a few LVL B and C roads within 40 miles of my house. Prolly around 10. And My parents have a Small amount of woods that I have free rain over. Behind my dads shop there is a small section of Valley to a narrow creek that I've road quads and dirt bikes threw for years. It would take some cleaning up.. But I would welcome anyone that wants to make some short trails.
02-12-2012 02:24 PM
yjJEEPyj I live around the quad city's. Im interested in your club. Were do you do your trail runs??
05-28-2010 10:30 AM
rogertc1 There is a Class B Road dirt road a couple miles north of Andrew, Iowa. Couple miles long follows a small ravine stream.

backforty I have quite a bit of land and have entertained the idea of a Jeep trail system, but the "tear it up" mentality is what concerns me. I love a good mud bog and slop around, but in the end, I have to clean it up and prevent erosion. I have worked hard to restore prairies, wetlands and forests, so I am very careful. I am still giving it thought....

1997redTJ yeah i live in iowa too and really want some areas to tear some stuff up i mean, do any of those clubs do anything on the eastern side of things
