Binx I had the same springs as the op. I put on 18/59 with the Rubi shocks and got a good two inches all around. I got everything for about 130. It's was definitely worth it. The ride is 100 times better. It doesn't feel like it's going to roll over going around a turn or endo when I brake.

JTPhoto JK Just go with a complete lift and get all the extra stuff you'll end up having to buy in the end. A 2-2.5" lift is more then just springs...

You would think so but my 4 door had same size coils on passenger side as on driver side.

Some 4 doors do. However it's not necessary, especially if you are going to the highest number. Why make one lower?

MTH Just get a 2.5" coil lift get with aftermarket springs designed to handle the weight of aftermarket bumpers.

Sticking with stock springs is fine, but there's something odd about it when folks add all sorts of other aftermarket stuff. You're going aftermarket with weight additions, so I'd go aftermarket with springs. JMHO.

Often, you can find peeps selling the 19/60s in the classifieds, e-bay, C-list, etc. Even if you buy em new from Mopar, they're only like $160 or so.

Like daggo said, if you want real improvement, pair the springs with a set of shocks. You could buy a pair of Rubi take-offs that'll fit your Jeep fine and give you a firmer ride, for fairly cheap.

Thanks I saw a local guy have the 18/59 for sale so that was my reason. I think ill just search for the 19/60 combo like you suggest. Somewhere they can be ordered inexpensively I saw on here.

daggo66 You are correct. However why limit yourself to 18/59? Get 19/60 if you are going to do it. Ride quality is totally subjective. Shocks will affect your ride more than springs. If you switch to gas shocks you will get a stiffer, more truck like ride with less brake dive and body roll.

stock spring swap?

If i switch from 14 and 56 stock springs to 18 and 59 on a 2 door my search research says I should gain ride height between an inch and 2.25 inches. Does that sound accurate? I've only read of two complaints of the ride quality deteriorating with this swap. I plan on adding some bumpers that will add about 60lbs on the front and 60lbs in the rear so I want to at least keep the same height and a little gain would be ok also. I just don't want to compromise on road manners. Opinions please.
