BigMike47172 Ah I remembered my other question. This might need to be a thread but here goes...

My five-foot-tall wife is not liking the rock rails so they're probably going to have to go.

What's a good, reasonably priced running-board alternative? I don't really care for the Mopars.

First 500 miles: Initial observations and questions.

First, no trace of the ticking in the heads. I've been listening for it. Thank goodness for that.

It drives beautifully. Highway gas mileage about 18 MPG according to the EVIC. The transmission shifts so smoothly it's barely noticeable. All electronics work fine. Initial quality is excellent overall. It's very comparable to my '96 Explorer back when it was new.

Dealer included the first oil change in the purchase, that's happening at three months unless the oil change indicator comes on.

Question about the Bluetooth with an iPhone 4: I have a 730N radio. I can stream audio from the iPhone to the radio but the radio does not see playlists or artists or any of the other metadata? My guess is that it has to be hooked up on USB for that.

The phone features work fine. I can send and receive calls just fine.

So far I am a very happy new Jeeper!
