gcaughron My chilton manual says 10w30 or 10w40 depending on the temperature. I have run Kendall 10w40 for years in my 258 in the summer and 10w30 in the winter. I have well over 100k on this rebuild with no issues. Hope this helps.

wheels082 What is the recommended viscosity for a 258 6 cyl? Is it 10w30 or 10w40? Thanks

My friend has a cj that has been sitting in his garage for awhile.. during dead week, we are going to tear that sucker apart and get her going. Im just wondering what oil it takes.. the back of my mind says 10w-30 for some reason... any help is appreciated.
