"My neighbors think I am doing something illegal (All the UPS/Fed Ex packages delivered to my door) Same with the mailman!!
I didn't know that my wife would ask me "Why did you buy the damn thing if you have to make so many modification to it?"
That was after she wouldn't talk to me for two days after I brought it home. She's an Uptown Girl.

|SmugglersBlues||I remember back in the 80s or early 90s Nissan had an ad that was "dogs love trucks!" That may be true but all six of mine love the jeep. (They just dont all get to go at the same time).|

"Attitude adjustments" courtesy of Jeep drivers. Sometimes it's not what you asked for, it's how you asked for it. We've pulled people out of mud holes, pulled boats to shore, etc and my grandfather, or dad, would not take a dime. Simply told them to help somebody else when the time came. With attitudes like those mentioned above......hmmm....."how long did you say you wanted to be here?".
For that kind of money though, I might hang around those areas for some "mod money".(for bad attitude folks)

|2008jkcop||Yep. In the snow around here we have a lot of folks from all over stay in the cabins on the side of mtns. They think that "all wheel and 4 wheel drive " mean they can drive the mountain roads. I have fun pulling them out and even giving them rides. I have even went to the store for some folks. Never once have I asked for payment. But almost everyone offers something. But one time I had a guy from PA. He was a real jerk. I had just pulled to mini vans out and he had to stop and wait. He got pissed. He was in Suburban. When he tried to take off, he slid in the ditch. I drove on up the mtn. When I came back he stopped me and "told" to pull him out. I was low on fuel and needed to refuel before I did. I was nice and tried to wxplain it but he just startedto fuss. I left and came back. He asked me to pull him again. I said $400. By the end of the day he paid.|

|Mikel01||My "little" jeep pulled out a 3500 dulley and his 30 foot Donzi from the boat ramp. A guy with a thick NY/NJ accent walked over to me and said "hey you, unhook your boat and pull my stuff out of the water" now being a good southern boy, I said why sure...for $200.00 he said what I think was fuggeda bout it. I launched my boat and said in passing "tides comming in". With 200.00 in hand I locked the rear diff and pulled him out. If he was well mannered as we are, there would be no charge. There is still a wide gulf between us and them. Jeeps are MISSION CAPABLE.|

Nobody told me how bad the roads are in Minnesota...!!!!
And that the Jk Wrangler, 2-Door can feel every little pothole, crack and manhole cover that they put in the wheel track, and they seem to be installed 2 to 3 inches below the surface.
I new what it was getting into as this is Jeep number 2.

I'm constantly surprised by how we have become so used to power locks that nobody tries to manually operate the lock any more. I am constantly asked to unlock the doors from rear seat passengers, not only in the JK but almost any other car. haven't found one that cannot be unlocked from the rear (Unless it has child lock on, obviously)

When we got the JK, my wife looked at it and said "nice but it needs a lift"... YEESSS!! she gets it now!!!!

|BEAST33||Nobody told me how much attention I would get after putting on a 3.5 inch lift and 35 inch tires. I turn heads everywhere I go now. Its kind of amusing to see people's reaction when I pull up next to them lol|

North east OH, nearly 100% jeep wave from Wrangler drivers. Maybe its because we don't really have much opportunity to do any real wheeling, and still have the Wrangler.....
Other Jeep-branded vehicles, no wave. But Wrangler drivers are high percentage.
