|pmen10||I padded the bottom of the door and used a long 2x6 to leverage it off. Open the door and put the bottom of the 2x6 in the floor tub next to the base of the front seat. The other end goes straight out the side and towards the floor. Run a short 2x4 perpendicular to the long board under the base of the door so you don't cave it in. Have one person hold onto the door because once you put some leverage on the 2x6 the door is going to launch off the pins. LOTS of padding under the door!|

|Dep863||I soaked mine with liquid wrench and let it soak in. The doors eventually came off by swinging them back and forth while pulling up evenly on them. I then reached down and picked my nuts up off the floor|

|KreepAlong||Took mine off for first time, amazing how easily the door swings open, you'd think it would come right out. I pb blasted several times and had to use hi-lift to remove. Placed a block of wood under door frame and jacked the door up, lifting the jeep higher than the pin length. Went it let's go be prepared to hold on. If you use a hi-lift jack, cover the post with a jacket sleeve or towels, can do damage when falls over. :/|

|mecmar44||Thread the nut back onto the lower pin a couple threads so you dont damage it. Grab your floor jack and put the 2x4 between the jack and the nut you just put on. If you try and jack from under the door your just fighting yourself. Once you do this you'll be able to free the pins from the hinges then continue to work them back and fourth while applied upward pressure.|

It was the lower hinge that was somewhat seized on my doors, removed the two bolts holding the hinge and off the door came, soaked the lower hinge with PB Blaster and used a set of soft tips on vice grips to work the lower hinge off the door.
I wired up a switch to #4 fuse slot and have a toggle switch under the dash to shut the dome lights down.

|cjtheodo||If you do use the jack and 2x4 don't crank the shit out of your jack so your almost lifting the jeep off the ground. Builds up some serious energy and when it lets go it will launch your door. Don't ask me how I know.|

Too funny..interesting how a little cussing and yelling and it works!
My jeep is new and took the doors off a couple weeks ago with more trouble unhooking the wires,but it has me thinking I will add to lube next time they are off....
So original poster ever get hem off?

PB blasted the hell out of it. driver side no prob but pass was a b@#ch. at one point i just started yelling in my driveway" come off you stupid mother f-ing door" and it did. my nieghbor thinks i am crazy cause i did the evil laugh when it came free. good luck i hope you get it.|

|ljjp10||Use a jack and wood block, "It works". Set up close to the hinges as possible. When you start lifting the Jeep, open and close door as much as wood block allows. May take a minute or 2 but it will come . My wood block was 24 inches long. Good Luck|

|Larson-catz||Once you do get them off, use white lithium grease on the pins and holes. Do that before you put the doors back on and you won't have this issue.|

|Larson-catz||Had the same issue. Doors did not come off. Tried lifting them, tried pb blaster, tried the jack with wood and would not come off. Ended up taking the hinges off and beating them with a rubber mallet. Pins and hinges were rusted pretty good. Cleaned them up real well and now no issues.|

Don't know if you have them off yet or not but go buy yourself some pb blaster and soak them down really well, let sit or a while then soak down some more and keep repeating that process, it'll eventually break all that loose. That should help a little bit.

|docleary||I took my doors off for the first time last year-quite a workout! Like everyone else has said, roll window down first, spray some WD40 in hinge pin area,and stand between open door and jeep. Grab top of door with one hand & bottom of door with right hand and begin the attention getting process of swinging door back and forth while lifting/jerking up! Had neighbors stopping to watch, wondering what the f... I was doing! After awhile, you can see the door slowly moving up in the hinge. As it gets near the top, it helps to have someone there to help "catch" the door once it pops out, as it is heavier than you think. Those exposed pins can easily scratch the side of the Jeep. Grease the pins & hinge holes when the doors go back on. First time removal is multi-beer process, but much easier now,|
