jmartz Thanks for the responses everyone. Pinelands would be cool in June. I don't know what weekends I am working right now though so it's difficult to know whether I would be able to make it. And if I can't, at least I'll have some more time to save and buy some extra stuff to help protect the wrangler from getting tooooo dinged up!

joemd60 Thanks jgano, my jeep is still not where I want it to be. It is still stock with 235 series BFG's. Eventually I will put a 2" BB and a set of 31's, I also chat with a guy who has 2 jeeps. One for his DD and he has an off road one, and he said to join a club or go wheeling for fun you have to have a minimum of 31" tires.

joemd60 Sounds like a fun time and a way for me to learn with some fellow jeepers, unfortunately I am 5 hours away.

jgano23 the pine barrens are a good place to go here in jersey. if you have $250 you can sign up for the pine barrens jamboree. it is May 7th-10th. the hubby and i go every year. the jamboree is a great place for an off-road newb to learn how to wheel. but if the jamboree is out of your budget then you can come out w/ us in june. a bunch of us from the forum have started makeing trips out to Rausch Creek in PA and in June we are going to go down to the pine barrens, for a saturday and sunday of wheeling. check out this thread: and cast your vote for which weekend you would like to go. we will be camping and wheeling both days.

New Wrangler Unlimited

Hey all, yesterday I drove home a new Wrangler Unlimited. I've had my eye on a Wrangler for the last few years and finally saved up enough to go out and get one! The color is Rock Red. I wanted the Orange one, but those are hard to come by it seems... at least with features that I wanted.

I've been reading this message board for about a month, and it helped me better understand just exactly what the Wrangler can do. Thanks for creating this site! I will eventually be looking to go offroad with my Wrangler, but I have never, ever done it, so any advice or suggested beginner spots in New Jersey (or surrounding states) where I can go and get some trail experience with minimal risk to myself or others would be appreciated!

I'll try to post some pictures on here as soon as I get my camera back.

Thanks again for having this great message board and thanks in advance for any responses I get to this post.
