Marcwakefield22 I'm really late on this but I'm up in Boone fairly often. I live in Morganton and go to school at GWU in Shelby so if anyone is interested on riding somewhere I'm down to go. I live 2 minutes from brown mountain OHV area as well

spencerlj Not this weekend, though as it is Mother's day and not even NASCAR runs on Mother's day. But any other Sunday this month, I should be OK.

spencerlj, i have a few friends in troutman and am around that area and mooresville alot do you know of any trails or mud holes in the area? uwharrie is fun but not fun alone lol
So far I have not found any around the area either, that are legal either. I have not yet been to Uwharrie in my Jeep, but to ride trails with my Mountain Bike before I got my Jeep. If you go, would love to meet up. If you have some ideas here in this area, would love to hear about them.

Scott-CJ8 National Forests in North Carolina - Brown Mountain OHV Trail System

Note from their website: These trails are mostly designed for trail bikes and ATVs. Jeeps and 4WD vehicles may only use Trail 8 and part of Trail 1. No bushwhacking or cutting vegetation is allowed. Only street legal machines that meet all state regulations for safety and noise may use open Forest Service roads.
