Iceman Interior accessories such as GPS or cell phone chargers I would agree with. Depends on the CB you are running, the ones I ran did pull over 7 alone, also remember CBs pull more on transmit than receive or standbys . Just check whatever you decide to hook up and if it pulls more than the 7 amps you can always run a relay from the batt and use that connection as a trigger so it still is ignition controlled. Your jeep, your call, just be careful and trust me when I tell you a working fire in a vehicle is no fun.

Scott2373 I don't have anything specific in mind, but I just wanted the option in case I decide to hook something up. 7 amps is quite a bit for an interior electronic accessory. The Q-Tec adapter has 2 slots for accessories such as a GPS and a CB, neither of which will draw close to 7 amps, even if used together.

Iceman Ok, I had not seen that adapter before. You appear to be correct just the specialized connectors between the cigarette lighter and wiring harness a little wire and an inline fuse. That being said what are you wanting to hook up? It recommends a 7amp max current draw, and looking at the wire it uses and what no doubt is running to the cigarette lighter I would be cautious what I hooked to it. You could use it as a trigger for so something powered by a relay, but I wouldn't power much direct from it.

12V Power adapter similar to Q-Tec

Has anyone fabbed one of these? I'll be damned if I'm spending $40 on this. Are there any resistors/capacitors in the mix, or is it just the fuseable link, plug-ends and tap? Thanks!
