That all depends. Every Jeeps seems to be just a little different when it comes to this stuff. Some doing the bl/mml at the same time don't need the TC linkage drop bracket, and the instructions say that too, if I remember right. Mine kept popping out of 4lo even after adjusting the linkage, so I used the bracket and did not have a problem while I still had stock linkage.

A MML will slightly help with driveline angles as it lifts the front of the motor, and causes you tailshaft to tilt down slightly. Will it be enough to not need a SYE/CV shaft or a TC drop? It all depends on your Jeep and what lift you are running. For my Jeep, I had a slight driveline vibe after installing a 2.25" BB as my first lift, the MML cured it.

TJDave I would normally say do the BL first. An extra inch of room under there wouldn't hurt the mml install. That is what I did.

But, since you are swapping a 3" for a 1" BL, do the mml first.

1ofakind Well I got the new bl in last night I didnt have time to do the mml ill finish it up tonight after work. Ended up having problems with the last body mount on the back just above the bumper. The bolt just spins so im not sure what I can do about this

Patrick H I did the BL first, although it doesn't really matter. Took about 2 1/2 hours to do both.

KaiserJeep I did BL and then MML, using the JKS parts. In your case, I would remove the fan shroud hardware and the transfer case linkage, then do the MML, taking advantage of the 3" of space in the old BL. Then I would reduce the BL to 1.25", then I would reinstall fan shroud and TC shift linkage.

Before you start, back off on the transfer case skid bolts a couple of turns so the skid can move around. Your last step would be to tighten those bolts.

1320quick I installed both a body lift and MML on my TJ last week. I installed the body lift one day and then installed the MML a couple of days later. That seemed to work fine for me.

Dextreme I would plan to install them both in the same day. Takes just a few hours to do the MML.

1ofakind Well im completely replacing the 3" with the 1.25 and I got the 1" mml so I dont have to move fan shroud ect

kshaws21 So are you planning on adding the 1.25 bl to the already 3" body lift? If so, wow. If not and you are replacing the 3 with the 1.25, then you wouldn't need the mml lift at all.
