|GiantSchnauzer||Just fixed one part of my problem. When they did the lift and somehow they got the end of the drag link twisted in the opposite direction so there was no free movement when turning. I guess the guy was too lazy to undo both bolts to correct the steering. I undid on bolt and straightened out the ends, and now it moves freely and u can turn again.|

|Riccochet||My guess is the steering linkage. Lift caused some of it to be at different angles now.|

The springs may not be seated correctly, they may adjusted and go into place and creaking gone...
During my car days i once installed lowering springs upside-down and that cased the steering to creak when i'd turn the wheel.

|kjeeper10||The wheel itself or linkages ?|

hi, \i just added a 2.5 lift as well and the steering is stiff, i am guessing that my drag link bushings are binding and that they didn't re-torq al the other stuff on the ground but while still on the lift.
If your squeeking is coming from that area perhaps you have the same sort of problem. Anyhows im going to find out for sure this afternoon.

Steering wheel creaks after adding 2.5" lift, ideas???
My steering wheel just started creaking anytime I turn the wheel. Doesn't matter if the Jeep is moving or if I'm sitting still and turning the wheel. The only thing that has changed is I just added a 2.5" lift. Any thoughts or ideas as to what may be the problem or if it's related to the lift?
