Gunner I got my deal on my TJ because the owner broke an axle on Cadillac Hill and had it towed home to LA. It bummed him out and he sold it to me at as great deal. That allowed me to do immediate upgrades. I know if I was towing I would be way more aggressive.

Gunner Well I have been having some noise and vibration coming from the left front tire for a couple of days now. I went to Discount tire and found that that tire had severe cupping. All the others looked great. They are awesome. They put my spare on the front and ordered me a new tire. I pick it up Wednesday. Only cost is for a new Cert. 45 bucks. So now I am gonna make an appointment with Stan for an alignment and check the shocks. Maybe time for some other shocks.

Yeah, while I've never had service done at 4WP, I've had some real fiascoes with their parts people (I have a YJ I bought a long time ago, already with a lift). I've found them to be arrogant and condescending.

JPI is 130-mile round trip from me. But if you want something done right...

Anyway, close to pulling the trigger on a new Rubi, just wanted one less thing to worry about...a local dealer quoted me $15K for a lift.

He just got himself chopped off the list of dealers I'll be "dealing" with.

I had some little kid hanging out the window of his dads Cherokee giving me the thumbs up yesterday. He was so cute, I gave him the thumbs up back and waved. His dad was cracking up

I get tons of nods and waves of acknowledgment in the Jeep, but I do get them in the car too, even with it being 8 years old.

I thought it was just the bright Orange Crush that made me smile everytime I look at my Jeep. But, when Mikes TJ is in the driveway I smile too and it's just black so it's obviously more than a color thing

Mike said he read something about gas going up again after January due to some stupid tax. I told him we're eating rice and beans because we're not selling a Jeep!!! I guess the Diesel Grand Cherokee may be a reality after all.

my license plate will have to be JKU TJ GC, lol.

I'll second that, I always look back at it when I walk away from it lol. There are plenty of nights I can just sit out there in the garage and look at my jeep
