Might I add something funny:
Slotted and drilled rotors are great for street cars but don't put 'em on your Jeep. They get caked with mud and rocks while off roading and then squeak like hell.
Also destroys your rotors and rips up your pads.
I learned the expensive way.
I wanted them got towing but then went off roading.
Oopps, live n learn

|bondosgto||I did the black magic pads rotors on all 4 corners and new front calipers and it is the best thing I have done to my jeep.|

When I told my Dad how much Black Magic pads cost, he commented on the price. I told him to go price some EBC pads and get back to me.
He did, and told me he was excited to get his BMB pads installed..

The slotted face stuff will work slightly better at the extreme ends of braking events and will of course add to the aesthetics of your brake package.

I don't have it but I would assume its a standard hard bed-in process. Couple/few firm (hard) drops from 60-30 with some cool time before you park it.
At least that's what I would assume, assumption being the key here.

|wedu22||Black Magic! Those rotors/pads have saved me on Ct highways more times that I care to mention between the careless drivers & the deer.|

|DBoat||I would also second the no drilled, slotted rotors, they just hold mud. My rotors were about $25 each and work fine. I havent had the chance to try the Black Magic pads, so I cant comment on them, but many here seem to really like them a lot.|

EBC Yellow Stuff pads are superb. They were #1 for braking until the Black Magic pad was introduced that is even more superb.
Edit: I would suggest/recommend the Big Brake kit from Vanco too but I don't think they are available at this time... out of stock or something similar.

|UnlimitedLJ04||for that big of a tire i'd suggest the Vanco big brake kit....Black Magic Brakes would probably suggest the same.|

|DBoat||Another option is just some new rotors and EBC pads.. they are widely available, not pricey and stop like nobodys business. Been running EBC in my vehicles for over a decade without any regrets.|

Just get the Black Magic pads with their rotor package, you'll get a noticeable braking performance improvment from the pads.
Don't fall for the drilled, slotted, or dimpled brake rotor gimimicks which only reduce their swept braking surface. Old design pads that off-gassed could benefit from such rotor designs during racing when the rotors would turn cherry red but your Jeep & its braking won't benefit in the least. Such rotors may look cool but...

Although I do not have slotted rotors, I have heard that you do not want them on a Jeep that is used offroad. The slots are a good place for mud and gunk to end up, taking a toll on your pads and braking ability.
I have been running Black Majic pads and Centric Premium rotors for 2 years and could not be happier.
The difference is short of amazing vs the stock brakes on my TJ.
