st1264 My only complaint is that it's not May yet, when it gets consistently warm

otherwise I'm overjoyed with my choice... it has caused me to look for mods to do on it. Do something... "Damn, I gotta do that too". It's an obsession now. All the soccer moms in the neighborhood have the same stock wheels, now I want some nice aftermarket ones to make my Jeep "mine". It's a Jeep thing.

groovebus I heard that same sound behind my dash when I first got mine in January. I think there is a thread about it. I read something about if your heater doesn't work really well and you hear that it's something with your heater coil. If the heater works great then it is some air in your cooling system. and that is the water pushing the air into your puke tank. Might be BS, but mine went away after an oil change and topping off the water when it's cold.

nbkmsta I have just under 2,000 on my 2013 JKUR and so far I have had no issues. I do occasionally hear a soft gurgling sound under the dash at initial start-up in the morning. It lasts 2-3 seconds and is very faint and I will have looked at when I take it in for the first free oil change.

Dragonscape 2010 JK just turned 40k...still goes to dealer every three months.....Cheapest oil change in town $20... no other work has been required.

ScottV63 Picked up my ordered Sport S in the second week of February. With just over 400 miles or so, a fuse blew, which in turn, made the steering wheel controls on the left side, as well as the steering wheel stereo controls, the dome lights when the door is open and the dome lights with the steering column switch, inoperative.

Hoping it was just a weak fuse, I replaced the fuse and it did not blow again. All of the controls returned except for the dome light issues (including the mirror and foot well lights).

The dome and mirror lights worked if operated manually, just not with the steering column switch or opening the doors.

Drove to FL and back to NJ, no issues. Took it in for service and they couldn't find the issue in the slotted timeframe. New appointment two weeks later (though they did provide loaner) and a day and a half of diagnostics.

The service dept determined that the instrument cluster was the cause of the short and needed to be replaced. Problem was the speedometer needed to be certified with my mileage and the part was on back order. In the shop exactly 7 days. Had a Liberty (gas pig) as my loaner.

Had back two weeks not, all seems fine.

2k13Wrangler Check engine light was fixed. A fuel evaporation sensor blew causing it. The light went on 4 days later. I'm beyond pissed and haven't had a chance to alert the dealer yet.

c3j3gable My 08' with 70,000 miles has only had the fuel spill back problem. Got that fixed at the dealer. No other issues at all, besides the weak and sluggish 3.8.

New Jeep 2013 JKRU with about 10,000 miles. No problems yet. Last time I saw the dealer was when I drove away after writing a big check. There are some dents in the skid plates, but I can't blame Jeep for those.

I'm realizing why the Wrangler Wave is hit or miss ... too many on the road to wave to them all. Heck, waving at Jeeps could become outlawed like texting and driving.

In my subdivision of maybe 300 homes, there are at least 2 Wranglers on every block. It is townhomes and just in the building mine is attached to there are four, three JK's and a TJ. In a Jeep Wranglers lifetime, it will cost less to own than a Prius. The statistic I saw included the manufacturing at the beginning and disposal at the end. Has to be the batteries.

Only problem I have with my '08 is that the top leaked pretty bad but I upgraded to the new 2012 factory top. Plus, it sure uses oil. I miss the inline 6 from my TJ.

groovebus I'm on my 4th Jeep vehical, I had a '88 Cherokee that never left me stranded even after driving it with a messed up water pump for 17 hours to CO, a '99 Wrangler that never had a single problem in 5 years, an '02 Liberty that had a bad fuel pump from the factory, but the warranty coverd. Now I have a 2013 JKU with 5k miles and not a single issue so far. The JKU has an unlimited lifetime warranty that covers 5000 parts, so I'm going to drive it til the wheels fall off, then I will pay the $100 deductable and have them put back on.

Riccochet 2010 JKU with 27k on it before I traded it only had a collapsed radiator hose. And it really wasn't an issue as it expanded to normal size at op temp.

2012 JKR with 19k miles and zero issues.

TX95YJ 2013 Sahara, so far so good. Only issue lasted a couple days, flowing liquid sound behind the dash. I have noticed that the metal seems to be really thin on these jeeps. It's a mopar thing, my 2011 Challenger had paper thin metal. I was afraid to lean against

Wyldeone I wish I could say I did not have an issue yet with my jeep. 3600 Miles, the top leaks, and the passenger headlight bulb just exploded. Looks like I'm getting a new headlight. But the dealer says it will take them a week to find the problem with the leaking roof. Oh well, no new car is perfect.
