|Collinirby||Does anybody have the UV lights installed in the dash? I haven't seen a good picture and was wondering what they looked like|

|regrebnelos||My heat/ac control light has been burned out... So this gives me an excuse to do this. I just ordered the Amber. Can't wait|

|Neil F.||I forgot, I have an overlay that frames the odometer window. I'd put the gel behind the overlay window. I forgot what the stock cluster face looks like and if you could put a neatly trimmed rectangle of the gel in/on the odometer window.|

I might be miss understanding but that sounds really tacky

I ordered some aftermarket switches. Hopefully they will illuminate too. I'm suppose to receive them tomorrow

can you change the odometer? or is the forever that blueesh green?
if you cant change it.. is there a color that best matches it?

|Neil F.||The symbols on the factory switches illuminate with the rest of the dash lighting. OD Off and defroster have an orange indicator that illuminates when the switch is on.|

I don't have any of the switches (Hardtop Wiper, Defroster, and O/D Off) on my TJ but I plan to add some aftermarket ones to turn on my fog lights, bumper lights, etc...
Are the factory switches lit at night when turning on the low beams (like on the picture above) or do they light up only when they are activated (with the amber light)?

Mine show up purple enough to see them.

Are you positive that all of the LEDs are lit? What brand/model of LED did you purchase? There are a couple of other threads around here somewhere where people felt as though they were not bright enough.
Silly question, but I'm sure you've got the dash brightness turned up? Is that even possible on the 2000?

|JulioMedina||I have a 2000 TJ that I did the gauge cluster with red LEDs but its still not all red there are some dim spots and dead areas unlike the pics some of you guys have posted. Any idea what I could have done wrong?|

|nicodemus||And here's a pic of it in the dark!|
|04-18-2013 07:52 PM|
|nicodemus||I received mine today and got them installed! Going to wait till dark to see how it looks through the gauge needles. I may still mod them but pretty happy with it so far!|

|zanewolfgang||I ordered mine on Sunday and already received them! Superbrights is the way to go! Im usually pretty leary when I hear something is easy especially tearing the dash apart but this really was easy. Took about 1/2 hour for gauges and HVAC. Just make sure you have needle nose pliers handy.|

(on the clear needle near the center, there was a small section of orange I could not get to to remove the orange. I painted the top of that black. You'll see and deal with it however works)

|mikemounlio||Note my needle lights up in white due to the leds in that area were changed to white.|

I just looked at the needles of my 03. They have a sticker/pait on the back side. You need to scrap that off. Also they have the same coating on the top but just in the center. Once this coating is off the light in pass through the clear needle lighting it up.
this is my cbr dash. the needle was once orangeish red

If you want blue lights in the dash but still want to see the needles then just scrap off the red sticker from the needle.
I have not done this on the jeep yet. I did it to my cbr1000rr dash. I 1st did the mod then put it all back together. Once it got dark my needle was almost not seen. I had to take it all back apart and troubleshoot. In the end i took a sharp knife and scraped off all the color of the needle. In the end the needle was clear.
Now it is blue like the rest of the dash.

|rgroesbeck1||So I have been thinking about this -- dangerous thing, thinking. The cover for the gauges is very easy to open, just a couple tabs. Wouldn't it be just as easy to carefully paint the needles white using an artist brush? Maybe a flat white paint? Anyone tried that with good results?|

Note obviously running the engine will heat the water so you be the judge where the temp should be.
