Well... thanks for making the tough choice for me! Looks like when I get to it (if I ever do), ill be outsourcing lol.
I would like to learn it someday. I can do damn well everything else but the gearing parts always tend to get me leery.

|05LJGirl||I can definitely say josh as crawlertech stands behind his work! Awesome warranty also! Gears are not something you want to go cheap on...|

There's just so much involved with doing it yourself that I can see why its worth it most times to pay someone else to do it. Plus the tools.
How did it turn out for you Jager?

|jagerhelix||That's pretty standard across the board for a shop. There is a guy just north of Denver that does it pretty cheap. And backcountry from the forum had a guy do his for like 500 bucks I think. If you try craigslist you can find guys making some scratch on the side willing to do it cheaper. but you risk peace of mind. I did a ton of research before deciding to do it myself. I just kept thinking of what I could buy for the price of labor (rcv shafts)|

|chuckr||I think it was about $1000|

|chuckr||It came to $1650 for parts and labor|

|Justin04Lj||Yeah I'm planning a regear and bl for some 35s|
|04-14-2013 08:30 PM|
|chuckr||I don't think so....I know, famous last words, but....I like how the jeep sits with the 35's and they'll get me everywhere I want to go.....|
|04-14-2013 08:23 PM|
|Justin04Lj||Heck yeah. You gunna run 37's|
|04-14-2013 08:21 PM|
|chuckr||I went with 5.13|

|Justin04Lj||What gearing did you pick Chuck?|
|04-14-2013 07:41 PM|
|chuckr||Mine is currently in the shop for a regear, and I pick it up tomorrow morning. I went with CrawlerTech in Commerce City, after getting several recommendations from fellow jeepers that said Josh's work is great. So far, dealing with him has been easy and he's answered all my questions and made recommendations based on what I wanted. he's alo reasonably priced and actually had the best price out of the shops that I talked to.|
