Hooray for us with a "few more miles on the odometer."
I'll turn 51 next month. The first "new" vehicle that I wanted to purchase was a CJ many years ago, but we just couldn't afford it. Over the years I've had my share of "cool toys" (Z28s, Corvettes, an HD, and Crotch Rockets). Well, back in November, I finally purchased a Jeep! It's not about age, midlife crisis, or anything else. It's just having a vehicle that "fits me" and I enjoy owning, and the kids and grandkids all love it. Now I'm part of the "addiction", owning a "work in progress".

|backdoc||57 years young. 1969 Wagoneer in 1971 (first vehicle). 2013 JKU Sahara now (24th vehicle). In any case, I.....forgot what I was going to say. Did I post this already?|

The BMW earned me 2 speeding tickets in three years (both of which I totally deserved!) so what fun is it to own a car I can't drive the way it was meant to be driven? I owned a full sized Bronco about 10 years ago and absolutely loved it. I miss that "go ahead and pull out in front of me, I won't even feel you as I run you over" feeling. No need to speed in that beast!
Plus, I'm tired of trying to see around the car ahead of me!
|04-23-2013 08:35 AM|
Ever since I ordered my new Jeep, the BMW has been in the garage. I've been driving the kids' car to save on mileage till I trade it in!

|victor1955||I'm 58, wife is 59 and this is our 1st jeep. We replaced her 2003 Nissan Xterra (that we bought new) with a 2013 Sahara Unlimitied. I drive a Mazda Miata. Went to the dealership fully intending to buy a Moab but because it's her new ride opted for the Sahara. Obviously there were things she liked about the Sahara over the Moab. I guess I did right because she keeps reminding me that the Jeep is the best vehicle she has ever driven (her last 3 vehicles, Xterra, Corvette, Mustang GT).|
