Hoot2 Thanks guys! Also turns out that "freeze on allocations" wasn't that bad,,,, talked to the dealer yesterday, and my Jeep is on it's way from the factory now! So basically it took about 3 weeks from order to ship date.

REPPO Welcome! Bought the same jku...but mine is a sport s. I would like to hear more about "freeze on allocations" though. That doesn't sound good. For reference, I ordered mine march 28 and its est. delivery is april 19. and to the dealer...sometime after that. Good luck! The wait is awful.

Hoot2 Thanks guys! And man, Kramer's rig looks good! He pretty much proves CG can look good with silver wheels.
I don't know what the build freeze is for....I asked the sales rep if it has anything to do with the 10A Rubis being produced, but he had no idea. Maybe at the end of the week I'll call back and see if they have any answers.

Wranglin4Life Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the purchase. Hopefully you wont have to wait to long to get it. Did they say why there was a freeze?

Hoot2 Thanks! I went back and forth on the color choice forever, but I finally settled on CG, because I figured that it's a color unique to wranglers, and I might as well pick something I couldn't get on any other vehicle.

Now I'm trying to decide on wheels... I think black accents look good against CG, so I'm trying to decide if I want blacked out wheels, or maybe the argent pintlers. Another thing on my mind is that if I put 315 Duratracs on it, will my 3.73 gears be enough? I know this isn't the right forum area to be asking these questions though.

Anyways, I'm envious you were able to pick yours up last week....just in time for summer!!

ESP Welcome John!

Congrats on the new Jeep. I picked up a commando green last week too. Beautiful jeep for sure.

Finally pulled the trigger!

Hi everybody! I'm John, and I've been lurking these forums for almost a year, and getting so much valuable information from the posts and members' experiences. I've always wanted a jeep since before I could drive, and last Saturday I finally ordered a 2013 JKUS in Commando Green. Unfortunately there is a freeze on allocations (?) at the moment, so I have no idea when to expect delivery, but I know the wait is gonna suck!

I'm 32, I've been in the Air Force for 12 years, and I just returned from Afghanistan. I spent 7 years in Okinawa, and they were easily the best years of my life. I had an 88 Mitsubishi Pajero there, and although it wasn't a jeep, it got me to a lot of hard to reach scuba diving spots that I would never have reached without a 4x4. I live on Long Island now, and I don't know of much offroading here, but the past few years I've driven my F-150 on the outer banks of the beaches. Hoping to continue the lifestyle of enjoying the outdoors and making the most out of every day.
