lift questions

I just bought my first jeep. It is a 02 wrangler with 4.0 and manual transmission. I don't plan on much off road driving, but I do want to lift it and fit 32 or 33 inch tires. I want to know if just coil spring spacers are the way to go or not? I know this is cheaper. I would like to maintain factory handling characteristics. If I buy a kit with new coils which brand of lift will ride the best, at a reasonable cost. I would also like to know if there are any preferred shocks that might make a difference in ride quality. Thanks Troy.
