Well, it's been awhile since I've posted.
Let's see I bought a Subaru for a DD. And just this for a smoking deal. $1200.
16x 8.5", full brakes,
Now, I can really start the suspension build. I'm looking at long arm kits now. At this point I'm thinking ORI STRUTS. The question I can't answer, stretch or not? I'm doing this right the first time so more research is needed.

Put in a lock box today. Found it at Big R, then ordered 2 off Amazon for $27 each. I put them in today! Had to remove the front seat to get the drill in there.
This is the mounting bracket, bolts to floor etc.
The lock box locks closed then slides in the enclosed mounting bracket. Then you turn the lock open and lock the safe to the bracket.
Sticks out a bit but not worried about it.
Gun fits perfectly, you can also see the locking cable that is anchored underneath one of the bolts of the mounting bracket to the safe itself. So even if you did pry it out of the mounting bracket she still can't walk away with the safe.
When the doors are off I can simply rock the seat forward and you can't tell the safe is there at all.

Replaced the front speaker yesterday. Huge difference!
They bolted right in Except the mounting plate is different.
The Jeep has speakers mounted in these pods, if you look at the pictures of the speakers on the box in the mounting tabs on the pod you can see their different.
I found these cutting drillbits at Harbor freight, they make quick work of the plastic in the pod. I put the speakers in the pod pre-drilled a hole & used the original screws to secure the speaker in the pod. The rest is pretty simple.
NOTE: when putting speakers in make sure you have them in phase. Meaning make sure you have the positive & Negative connected properly. To determine which lead on your speaker is which... Take some leads and hook them to a AA battery if you're positive and negative's are set up properly, The speaker should lift, improperly and the speaker will drop down.
