|mzbrandi||Push the lever back to N then back to Low. I some times need to wiggle the lever a bit as I pull it into low.|

|mzbrandi||Maybe your not shifted all the way in lo range. It's possible, I know from personal experience. Just wiggle the shifter back a little more.|

Yea maybe I'm just going nuts, tranny fluid is fine.
I do want to note something, I recently had the clutches repaired because they were burnt, does that affect my issue? I just feel like 4low should be changing gears normally like it would when in 4h or 2h

|sevenservices||just curious... have you checked your tranny fluid? If low, the torque convertor in an auto will slip like your saying until you bring the RPM's up a little higher. Just something to check...|

Watching your video, I couldn't see any thing wrong. When the tach came up, it looked to me like the speedometer did also.
When you are in 4L, the speed is NOT going to come up nearly as high before the tranny shifts. Probably around 1 or 2 MPH, which it appeared to me like it was doing.

dealer here only charges $100 for a diagnostic... I'm sure mileage varies, but might be worth having them point you in the right direction.
I can't really tell if anything odd is going on from your vid, but it doesn't look or sound like hill assist braking. I'm on 33's with the same gears and auto as yours, and there's a noticable lurch when the hill assist lets off the brakes...

|somis||Seems very odd, I would ask the dealer what they think then look into it more on the web. By the way, you should never engage 4hi, or 4lo on the pavement if you can avoid it.|

i uploaded a video to see if this helps, i dont know if im just going crazy but in the second stop i make it makes that hesitation to shift.

|Westside1||I see, I sometimes think it's a power loss issue? Since I'm running 35"s on 3.73 gears I figured it might have to do something but I don't know.|

I'd guess it's hill assist... Any time I stop on an incline, it will hold the jeep still with the gas pressed (with an auto), and it's much more "abrupt" when it lets go in low. I wouldn't call it 2-3 seconds though, more like a second, or less even.
Mine does it only on an incline though. I've never felt it on flat ground in any range.

|WatchThis!||Strange that it only does it in 4l. Sounds like an electronic isue.|

It's an auto
|04-15-2013 11:24 PM|
Is this when you are stoped and start to go or when it tries to shift gears? Or is it something that happens when you have the jeep stood up on an obstacle?
Any strange noises?
And I am assuming it is an auto?

Let me try and explain this as best as I can.
08 jku auto
So when ever I'm offroading in 4low my gear seems to get "stuck", seems like it's in neutral for like 2-3seconds (cause the vehicle doesnt go anywhere) and then it shifts gears and drives normally again. It tends to get "stuck" again when I make a complete stop with the vehicle and then it changes gears normally again. I don't know if this is normal, i do not have this issue in 2wd or 4hi, only when engaged in 4low.
Any idea of why this is happening, thanks!
