Biggest thing for the JKs is getting the pump. Stock doesn't have the ass to run a ram. Also somewhere in production they changed gearboxes to a crappy one.

euroford If your a creative DIY type... you can do hydro assist for about $150. Drilling and tapping a steering box isn't that hard, rams are available for cheep, lines are fairly easy to make or inexpensive to buy, and the metal fab to tie it all together is pretty basic.

google around and you'll find several huge discussion threads, you tube video's and everything. very popular with the toyota guys.

CoreyZ I couldnt even find the 2012 kit on their site. I could find the pump, but that was it. Mind sharing the cost? No worries if you would rather not. Its definitely not any time soon on the upgrade list.... still gotta deal with the lift and tires first.

I'll give em a call bud. Thanks! For the record. I didn't get to drive Brian's Jeep, but tested the wheel lock to lock in his driveway with the psc steering and hot damn, it is very nice. Definitely want it one day. Amazingly smooth.

jagerhelix I totally agree on assisted steering. in 4 low it really shines. on road is a little different but not unpredictable. On 35s it felt a little overkill but 37s it's just right.

jagerhelix Chris, check out rock solid performance, it's what psc recommends. give a call to make sure you get the right one. I installed one on my dads rubi but I also bought their trackbar with it

Well poo! I guess I can just wait until it breaks.... That sucks. I can't fork out $1200 for a kit right now. I have my axle swap which is the main bill at the moment.

i have the tera flex that you are talking about. i bought the evo brace and they do not work together. i could not find or make any brace for the sector shaft that would work with the tera flex installed, so i went hydro assist.

Crap. I have a teraflex draglink flip and frame brace kit. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to reinforce my sector shaft.

wanderlust Does require a little attention to steering correction but is quickly adapted to. Chris, the EVO brace is for their drop bracket. Be sure to look into it before you purchase

chrisfp88 I wanna do it too, but the cost is crazy. For the time being I'm thinking about putting on an evo sector shaft brace to reinforce it.

Rooster454 It's certainly in my plans, especially after Moab, but there are a few things ahead of it.

The only "negative" I've heard about it is that you may tend to over correct on the highway till you get used to how light the steering is at higher speeds

Hydro-assist steering

I can honestly say a Jk with over 35s should have this on a need list. Finally used it in the rocks. 4lo and lock, steered about as easy as 2wd on the street. Feel free to debate
