Was starting to think it'd be more expensive to do. Ill just wait till this one goes to replace. Thanks for help

You'd need some kind of processor to access the USB drive and convert the data files to a sound output that could be delivered via the 3.5mm aux input. homiegx Oooh. Ok we'll thanks was about to buy it. So is not possible to add a USB option somehow to the head unit? It's not crucial just would be nice to have

No, the RCA connections are pre-outs for connecting to an amp.

I would be surprised if it does; looking at your HU documentation, I'm not convinced that it has any way of reading the files on a USB drive. Generally an adapter like that would be used to connect a device with a 3.5mm jack e.g. a set of headphones to a PC.

USB port splice

i currently have a sony cdx-GT350MP head unit, it was given to me a while ago as a present. i was wondering if it is possible to splice the wires of a female usb to the red/white cables to be able to plug it in the back of the head unit to be able to plug a usb in for music?
