|jadmt||285/70-17 open countrys are almost 33" and stock is 29" so your speedo is going to be off more then a couple of mph. there are several calculators to determine actual diff. just do a google search of tire calculator etc.|

|Afmcronnie||Im turning 2200 at 65 in 5th, as in your first photo. In 6th, at 2200 rpm, im doing 80+. Weight will have NO effect on rpm/speed. Not with a manual. Check your calibration with a GPS.|

I just purchased e procal and to my surprise it was only a few hundredth of a thousand off. Mph was off by 1 or 2 not 10. I guess the weight of the wheels and tires have to do with it.

|Afmcronnie||I have 33" KM2's, speedo corrected with Procal. At those rpm's Im rolling about 75 in 6th. I think your speedo is more than a little off...|

Dwight's 3.21 JKU Build
Purchased my jeep 07/01/2012. I didn't want any of the goodies the sport S had bcuz i knew i was gonna upgrade anyways. Roll up windows too bcuz i'm tired of failing powered windows from my previous cars. I once had a 5 series bmw in 2003 and after a couple of months, only 1 window worked. 4 door, 1 window….no good.
I didn't know nothing about gearings, so i was stuck with 3.21. I should've researched by going to a forum first but whats done is done.
Once i received the crappy keys. All smiles, and after so many months, i'm still smiling.
After a couple of months, a damn hit in run at work. Who hits a parked bright red car?
I let the dent go after a while bcuz i know there's a lot of bumpers on craigslist.
First order of business…sizing up the wheels i wanted. Love at first sight in January 2013.
After all the extra money i saved within a couple of months (5k), my wife decided to spend a lil. Long story short, i gotta wait till i save up for my metal cloak kit, but i might go a different route now. If i was younger, i would've used my credit card, but now… all mods must be paid for in cash. Anywho…today was D-Day.
I wanted to get the duratracs, but the price difference wasn't worth it. I sticked to the lightweight Toyo AT2. 60k mile warranty, and it has some nice looks to it too. 285/70/17 since my jeep is my only rig right now…my other car gets less than 10mpg lol.

Remember when i had my first dent….well i got a brand new bumper from a fellow member on craigslist….sahara style.
and last… Pentastar engine 4dr, manual, 3.21 gears on 285/70/17. Theres only a slight difference from the steelies and my new setup. First gear isn't all that bad, and yes i did lose minimal power…When i floored it from 0-60, there is a slight lag but it's not a day and night difference to me. Just a lil underpowered thats all. This pic was taken on 6th gear. Speedometer is probably off a bit (no procal yet). i'm able to use cruise control also. Not only that, if i went 35's i believe its a minimal change from the 33's…just losing 6th gear.
thanks to all the members that answered my questions and helped me out. My build may not be much now, but should progress slowly and surely.
