Look fantastic! Transforms your Wrangler to the next level... Polished or Chrome?
I have to get rid of my ugly 17" stockers. Thanks for posting.

As long as it's round and can get muddy I don't care. Lmao

|Billybaldin||I prefer the two tone look. Solid chrome or black is just too much.|

I have always been a black out rim guy myself, but since I bought the thing for the wife, I found one with the 18 inch OEM chrome 5 spoke rims on it. I think she will like it - but not my thing.....
/sry can't post pics yet.....
Is it a no no to put a web link?

|st1264||Don't think chrome will ever go out of style, but flat black seems to be the in thing. Personally I think wheels should be noticed, so the "black out" type phenomenon doesn't appeal to me. I do like 'classic styled' chrome/machined wheels on JK's. Why do flat black like everyone else is doing. Do your own thing.|

Looks alright with the right colors and not over done. Was at Costco today and saw '12 Sport Unlimited Silver with Chrome Door handles, 16" chrome wheels with stock tires and the steel spare still on the back. Just don't understand sometimes. Kind of like the guy at discount asking me if I only wanted 4 wheels/tires with my upgrade I'm doing in that department. You have to do 5. Haha.
I've seen it done right on white, not sure about other colors.

|UtahWrangler||We were wheeling/mudding with white and chrome rims back in the day and loved it. Hell, no one had black rims. Nothing wrong with chrome, white, black or whatever type/look you choose. The anti-chrome theme on this board cracks me up.|

Anyone have a Sahara Tan with chrome wheels?
Im starting to look at replacing my stock steelies, black is the obvious choice to go with the tan, but I am curious what chrome may look like on it.

|st1264||Due to the road salt here, if I buy chrome I definitely won't run them in the winter. Leaning towards machined and clearcoated aluminum.|

I run chromes on my rig. I love the look but they are a REAL PITA to keep clean.
I wont be going chrome again.

The Method Race Machined wheels might be my faves on this thread, but are a little pricier at around $180/wheel.

My neighbor has a all black JKU with everything chromed that can be chromed. 4 in lift with 37s. He uses it mainly as a Mall Crawler. His license plate says HUMMER 4 on it. With all that chrome there is some similarity to a Hummy.
For me, as for chrome, well I can take it or leave it..................

I'm seeing a few local guys running their stock wheels, dipped flat black. Not my thing. Seems most like the "stealth" look... Saw one a Walmart, I was with 2 other guys and they were also thumbs down (maybe because we're all late 30's to 40)?
I want to swap in new wheels to distance myself from the hundreds of Jeeps I see that are running the same stock wheels, which I'm learning to dislike. I like black/machined lip, black with SS/lugs&cap or full machined wheel with black accents. Not going to go full "bright" wheels or flat black. In the middle with contrast.

Go for the chrome! When I bought my 08, I wanted black wheels and most folks were opposite. Now black is the standard. If you like the chrome look, works for me. And I'm glad there is not just one way to sport your jeeps. People have seemed to forget that jeeps are popular in the 'hood AND in the bayous and back roads.
