|How Long||I assume the problem is with the head unit. I've been in other vehicles with Sirius and the sound is fine. I have noticed that the tinny sound also happens when listening to music via bluetooth. When I plug my iphone in thru the usb port it sounds fine but when I use the bluetooth is sounds like sh** Must be something with the wireless receiver in the head unit.|

I can't listen to regular radio after having Sirius and the thing that sucks about an iPod is that there is no variety/surprise. Its all music you put there.
I have one Sirius/XM radio account and a separate tuner. I just have cradles wired into the receivers and move the Sirius tuner to whatever I'm driving (listen to it 90% in work truck). My work truck is noisy, my Jeep is noisy, if I can just hear Opie & Anthony, Boneyard and Liquid Metal, I'm happy. I originally subscribed for Stern, but can't stand him anymore.

|CarolinaCajun||I drove a Ford rental car all week and the good news is... Sirius sounds just as bad, if not worse, in the Ford than it does in my JK. Glad it's not a Jeep stereo thing.|

|markconfer||I called Sirius, had them reset the signal, etc, etc but the sound is truly unlistenable. I think it is even more noticeable with the Jeep's tweeters at ear level so the high frequency lack of fidelity coming right at you. It reminds me of listening to AM station far away where the station drifts in and out of reception.|

|reade||I quit Sirius XM a long time ago. It's "free" Pandora for me now. I did the $3.00 a month Pandora but when renew time came around I went back to the free version, a commercial here and there is ok with me and with the shape my ears are in I can't hear the difference at 65 mph.|

|Binx||There is no better way to get a higher quality of sound when its all 16 - 48kbps, channel dependent. Most are around 32kbps. Sad but true.|

|ONETANGO||I actually think mine sounds fairly decent....|

|Lbear||I gave my Jeep a pat on the hood for getting yet another compliment about his color (Gecko). At the Post Office a lady stopped her car, rolled down the window of her station wagon and asked if it was a custom color. I and Rubi smiled. "No, but it's no longer available," I said. "Love your Jeep," she replied.|

And now you know why their stock price sucks.
I had sirius for years and started to add up what I wasted my money on.
Drop outs.... all the time. Bad sound quality..... all the time. Boring programming..... all the time. I shut it off and spend $35.00 a year on Pandora, (paying gets rid of commercials). I build my own stations and listen to what I want to. I stream via bluetooth in the Jeep, in the motorhome, through my BOSE Sound link and even through my HDTV if I want.
Sirius is a serious waste of money

Like I said before, some don't know what "good sound" is. They are happy with a transistor radio, so Sirius sounds like heaven to them.
You'd think we'd have a better stereo system and headlights (some are happy with the headlights too) for a $30k Jeep... but Sirius just sounds bad (compressed), so I don't listen to it.

Yeah, I don't get it. People like that kill me. People like that would be happy driving a turd with seats and a steering wheel.

|sr71||Just picked up new Sport and turned Sirius on for first time - I wasn't expecting much and it didn't deliver.|

|mzbrandi||I don't have a problem sound quality. As loud as my Jeep is down the highway, anything would loose sound quality. Quit whining. It's a Jeep, not a concert.|

They wanted my credit card "to ensure no gap in service" = "at the end of 6 months we will charge your credit card $120.00 for a one renewal"
No way XM!! I'll pay the $2.00 and send you a $30.00 check every 6 months
|04-18-2013 09:42 PM|
$30 total for 6 months or $30/month? Still, I won't renew as I don't like the sound quality or the content.
|04-18-2013 09:36 PM|
I broke down today and renewed after 4 months of piles and piles of renwal notices.
They gave me a hard time for not paying by credit card and advised they had to charge me a one time $2.00 processing fee. So it comes out to $30.00 for 6 mos
|04-18-2013 12:23 PM|
I always pay around $30 for 6 months.
