Thank you again, I like how your wheel wells looked especially the Tire pressure markings.
I think I will go the same route, rip out the liners, clean it then spray paint it black. Did you use anything special or just regular black spray paint?

Yep, I took out the rear liners. I painted them black inside and I think it looks better than with the liners in. Also less chance for dirt and bud to get tapped.

Thank you Sir, I know there are huge differences in the prices between those brands. Any recommendations? Ill start looking at reviews on them. Bushwackers shipped to Puerto Rico are over $500 to $600. Flat style is more expensive then pocket flare style.
Rear wheel well did you remove the liner?

|Beastmaster||I'd have to say the Xenon, Warrior Products, Genright and Bushwacker all look pretty close.|

I love your set up, been looking at pictures of your jeep for over a few months now and decided to try do something with my beat up 98 Sahara.
I was going to go with Tag Pocket style flares but liked your Ace tubular flares. They dont make them for TJ's though. Is the bushwacker (plastic) flat flares the closest I can get to this look? Or are there similar flares I could look at?

Nice looking rig, Cap
Meant to post this a while back. After the accident. they had to repaint my hood so I needed to re-do the markings. I've been wanting to install some louvers (found it got really hot under the hood on the trail) so I figured this would be a good time.
Here's the thread BTW: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f314/th...rs-762226.html
I think it came out pretty well:

In WWII the military vehicles had the tire pressure markings on the inside of the wheel well.
As far as the rest of the stuff, well time will tell. I gave my mod list to the body shop so they know what parts are stock and what they will have to order.

however, it did give us a nice opportunity to see just how detailed you've gotten with your rig; I like the designation numbers in the wheel well
everything else about the wheel well makes me sad.

Got into an accident.
Some lady did a left turn in front of me Friday. It did quite a bit of damage to my Sarge but I think her little SUV is totaled. I didn't notice when I was taking the pictures today but I think in the first pic, that's her SUV parked next to my Jeep.
Bent my bumper, shoved my tire back braking the shock absorber and bending the lower control arm and axle. There was lots of misc dings, dents and scratches.

|J Gand||What a beast! Sarge has inspired me to go with tan seatcovers! I was skeptical about mixing tan into the black interior, but it looks fantastic. The Coyote color looks much lighter in the pictures than it does on the website.|

On more research, I'm going with some paint made by GCI coatings (shade 33070) for my Willys restoration. Its a much better paint and more period accurate. You can get it from Arpyjeepparts.com. It's roughly the same price and they give a discount if you order 12 or more cans.

I am considering 1953 bantam trailer. I think its a civilian version. do you know how much different is it from the 1942 military version??

you going to create a second thread for the Willys? i can't wait to start checking that one!
