aharris41 Well, it did not take 2 months. I pulled the trigger on Friday. Proud owner of 2013 JK . Now really need to make a decision.

Bfg rt

Check out the BFG Rugged Terrain (not Rugged Trail). I have them on my pickup, love them. The price is right too.

dawhitesJKU It took me about 6 months of researching. I was flustered on wheels first...15s, 16s, or 17s, then tires 33s or 35s. lol. Good luck with your decision...btw in 2 months, jeep fest in Ontario, CA. They have great deals there...that's where I'll pull the trigger on my lift kit...I advise you to do the same.

aharris41 Sounds good, I will check them out, too. I will keep you all posted. If things go well, I hope to make my purchase happen within the next 2 months. More research and learning to do

dawhitesJKU @aharris41, try onlinetires.com. For dd 35,s that are lightweight look into the kelly safari. It should have the same specs as the Goodyear duratrac. Cheaper alternative to run 35s, and its in Cerritos. Not too far from L.A.

If you get an all terrain tire you won't really have to worry about road noise at all. If you get an mud tire then you will probably get a slight to heavy hum.

dawhitesJKU they do come in 35's...real 35's... 35x12.50 to be exact for the 18's, however its E rated (heavier/thicker sidewalls) and at 80lbs.

aharris41 ^^^^Thanks for the link. Great looking Jeep. I like the tires a lot. I needed to settle on 33 vs 35 and pick the rims. I will stay on the 18s and 2.5" or 3" lift.

Just looked at Toyo, looks like the A/T II does not come in a 35

Can you hold a good conversation on your cell? I ask because I have a 1.5 hour commute and take calls for work. Also, I am looking at doing 35s on 18s. Do you think that size will make a difference on 33s?

Thanks so much for the input!
i can and i have a soft top. i've had my stock steelies on since july 2012, and when i upgraded, there's no difference in sound. i have more details from my build. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/dwi...ld-236214.html

dawhitesJKU I just got em yesterday too. This was after months and months of research. Duratracs were on the top of my list until an offroad shop recommended the at2. once they gave me a price quote on the at2, that was it.

+1
I've been running these for about 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier with them.

All my experience has been with 15x8 wheels and 33" tires. I've had a tj and a yj, both with 15x8. The tj had about 3.25" bs and my yj has 3.75" bs, both cleared fine on turns. I wouldn't think taller wheels would make a difference, but not sure? I would definitely think wider wheels (10") would be different though.

Hallitzer A jeep is not the best commuting vehicle. You'll have to be a little more specific on what you want out of the Jeep. If you want a little more aggressive look but great on street get a 33 all terrain tire and new rims with a 3.5" to 4" backspacing. Mastercraft Courser A/T's and BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A are nice looking tires with good wear.

Aggressive Look, Best Road Noise?

I know, how many times can this be asked. I am new to the forum and in the market to buy a new jeep. I want a lift and tires/wheels before leaving the dealer. I probably go with a 2.5" lift.

I am going to mainly use the jeep for commuting. What has been the best on road noise and aggressive look?

Thanks in advance
