Joshs68 Ugh. Where to begin. Here is the last few days.

Remove BA10, remove oil pan, change rear main seal and oil pan gasket.

Hey, let's change the slacked out timing chain while we are here.

Got that done so let's fix the lower radiator hose bung, cleaned, soldered, done.

Install the 4wd shifter from the BA10/NP231 (yup my 87 had an NP231) onto my new AX15/NP 231 combo.
Pretty easy, flip the plate over that connects to the TC and make a small clearance dent in the mount plate and it bolts on.

It even works!

Tomorrow hopefully pop the combo in and find a shop to shorten my XJ front double carden driveshaft and maybe go work in the yard or something...

I couldn't figure out how to get it out. I unscrewed the two screws holding it to the dash, but couldn't pull it out.

I didn't want to disassemble the dash further to investigate at that moment. I'll tackle it again another day.

RawhideClab Went to get it inspected... found out that your parking break has to work to get an inspection. Also found out that my horn stopped working and my left turn signal wasn't working on the dash
Brought it home tightened the brake cable, put new LED bulbs in tachometer and speedometer (since I had the dash apart), swapped the "shift-up" bulb with the left turn bulb and cleaned up the contacts for the horn. Nothing to exciting but it had to be done. And it reminded me why I love older vehicles! Everything was self explanatory and easy to fix!

ArcsnSparks Ran some Marvel Mystery oil thru her and then changed her oil and filter. Did the little spacer trick for my cad unit and fixed a couple of other minor issues. Slowly but surely running thru my " gig " list.

tjnickyj So one of many things needing to get done on the 90 yj was the drivers side floor pan. I really didnt want to buy a preformed replacement i really wanted to get hands on with this fix. Went to Home Depot and bought some sheet metal and had some fun last night.
Still needs some more weld clean ups but it looks pretty good i think.
