|homebrwd||Most of the adjustables will work at 3inches. The curry one looks to have the most clearance for the Diff. make sure you check your clearances and adjust your bump stops correctly after the install.|

|wrangler dad 73||No your stock axels will be fine I am running a 6"lift and 2" coil spacers with 35's. I haze zero no problems with my Dana 30 in front and 44 in rear|

|04-24-2013 11:31 AM|
|homebrwd||no it doesnt|

|janosko9424||does a body lift affect the track bar? im gonna start with a 3" suspension lift and add a 1" BL down the road? will i need a track bar for up to a 4" lift or only up to a 3" lift?|
|04-24-2013 09:50 AM|
|04-24-2013 09:30 AM|
|homebrwd||I'm going with the Savvy/Curry front trackbar. Their bend and offset joint should help with differential clearance.|
|04-24-2013 08:56 AM|
|janosko9424||So I've decided to go with the zone 3" lift and it has a bracket for the front track bar that you have to drill a hole with I want to avoid doing that what front track bar should I get? I would like to add a 1" BL later on and an SYE and CV but those will be a while down the road|
|04-24-2013 08:24 AM|
|homebrwd||If you are getting an SYE and Driveshaft you wont need a MML or a transfercase drop.|

But throwing parts at it won't accomplish doing it on a budget. Some people will say "just get it all at once" and well, that's fine for them. I do everything piece by piece; my TJ isn't my only toy and only 1 of the vehicles listed below...and all aren't listed! So spending a massive amount right off the bat without feeling it out first doesn't make sense. I mentioned I have the Zone 4.25 combo kit, my SYE/CV is in the mail, and I'm holding off on rear UCA/LCA until I determine my pinion & DS angles.
Impatience with it all = costly
NOTHING is a guarantee, and literally every jeep is different; so MOST (we all know the exceptions) people saying "you'll need" is almost always a guess based on their truck or "a buddies".

|janosko9424||I haven't installed anything yet hahaha I was just wondering for future knowledge|

When do you get the vibes, Taking off, Crusing, Accelerating, Decelerating?
|04-23-2013 10:38 AM|
|homebrwd||Yes you can, you should look more at why you are getting vibes. How much of a drop did you install?|
|04-23-2013 10:35 AM|
|janosko9424||Hmmm ok quick question day I did a 3 inch lift had alittle vibes so did the Tcase drop still had vibes after that. Could I throw on a 1 inch BL and a MML. Can you run a MML and Tcase drop at the same time?|
|04-23-2013 10:15 AM|
Also you can always get a kit and then upgrade certain components (Springs, Adjustable Control Arms, Shocks, SYE w/ CV Axle, Adjustable Track Bar, etc.) There are a lot of 3" lift systems out there and a lot of components to interchange.
|04-22-2013 09:57 PM|
|janosko9424||Yeah I understand I don't want to go to 35s with this jeep. Alittle too much for me I'm gonna stick with 33s I have gone back and forth for about half a year of what exactly I want to do with my jeep it's gonna stay my daily driver... For forever hahaha it's funny having conversations with other people and being able to say that you drive your dream car! Plus you will never see a jeep that's the same as yours, that's probably my favorite part except JK they are kinda generic which is sad|

Now everyone says I need a front adj trackbar, longer swaybar links & list continues to grow. Makes me kinda discouraged and over the whole thing. I have too much going on right to stress about these decisions let alone try to enjoy the whole buying stuff process.
|04-22-2013 02:52 PM|
|janosko9424||I'd love to spend the extra money and do it right... If I had any money to begin with... I might just have to settle with a 2" lift and 1" body lift I think that would really simplify things|
|04-22-2013 02:25 PM|
T-case drops will work but from personal experience I would just spend the extra money and do it right. I have 05 TJ with 3" BDS lift 33" tires. It originally had a T-case drop until i snapped the T-case mainshaft off. I was trying to take off on on some ice and when the tires caught it snapped the shaft. Surprisingly it wasnt my axle shaft. I went to SYE and CV axle and havent had problem since.
Worse part of the break was that i had to limp Jeep in 4X4 to local parking lot with driveshaft beating off of my muffler. Then I had to keep my Jeep Downtown St. Louis where almost everything gets stollen. Wasnt a very fun time that is for sure.

With an sye you'll need rear adjustable upper control arms and a new Double Cardin (the cv part in sye/cv term) shaft. Tom Woods is a highly recommended vendor to the shafts.
|04-22-2013 01:34 PM|
|janosko9424||It is possible to live with the vibrations for alittle while after the lift? To save up for a SYE? If you get a SYE do you need a new driveshaft also?|
|04-22-2013 09:58 AM|
Like everyone says, they're all different.

That looks nice thgr8alex!!! I have my 3" Zone kit coming in this week and we plan to attack it this weekend so I can test it out at our first mud runs this year. Hope we don't break or need anything extra Starting to PB Spray everything today so it will be easier to wrench on by Friday night. Fingers crossed. I have a 97 TJ 2.5 with 32 Falken AT's on it.. Will post some pics when all done...
|04-21-2013 04:16 PM|
I got internet now! These are 3 inch zone lift and 2 inch body lift
|04-21-2013 04:08 PM|
|thgr8alex||Mine has a mml and when i installed lift, i had slight vibes on the way home but the next day and til now i dont. Sometimes when i downshift i have slight vibes so it probably wouldnt hurt for me to install it but they are really not there and when they are its ever so slight.|
|04-21-2013 03:49 PM|
For the TC drop, it depends. Some people have had to drop the TC even with the mml (I did) and some didn't. Then there are those that don't realize they have vibes and wonder why they chew up u-joints on a regular basis.
|04-21-2013 03:43 PM|
|janosko9424||With 33s do I need new axles? I've heard yes and no? And if I do a MML do I need a Tcase drop too?|
