Billybob,

SuperTJ is basically right, the main differences are that the Trektop NX has zip out windows and can be run as a bikini top as well as a full top. The original Trektop can only have the rear window removed, the side ones are permanently attached.

The hardware used for the original Trektop is a little bit different than what is used for the NX version. Other than those few differences, they are very similar tops.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

SuperTJ The trektop I have is one piece. Only the back window zips out. Also comes with metal door sills. The NX comes with the factory style door sills. The side and back windows zip out. Are the big differences that I know of.

Billybob,

No, neither top is hard to remove or re-install. The Trektop takes a little bit more time because of the way it attaches to the roll bar. The Supertop will just fold up and down and is stored behind the rear seat like the factory soft top.

Here are the install instructions for both tops. This will give you an idea of the installs on both tops. Here are the instructions for the Supertop, and here are the Trektop ones.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help you out.

Billybob,

The Trektop and the Supertop are two completely different styles of top. The Trektop NX is a frameless style top, while the Supertop NX is a factory replacement style.

The pros of the Trektop are that you have the Safari Bikini option as well as the Sunrider feature. I'm running one on my JK and I really like it. It fits tight, and doesn't flap around on the wind. It's not the easiest thing to completely remove to be 100% topless. You actually have to remove the entire top.

The Supertop NX is basically a factory style top, with a few differences. On a TJ it gives you the option for the Sunrider, that the factory top doesn't have. Other than that, the top is easy to fold back and the windows are all removable for an open air ride.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be happy to help you out!
