Phone calls have been made. And my understanding is that this issue has been resolved.

We all want to do the right things to ensure our children will be able to use the same parks and lands we have been able to use.

Thanks Jim,

I will be taking care of it ASAP. My Jeep is still undrive able at the moment, so as soon as I can get it running or get a ride the sign will be back in place. Also thanks for the contact info. I tried to find someone to contact, but was unsuccessful. Furthermore, feel free to contact me when you guys are going to be doing the trail grooming in June. I had already emailed a guy a month or so ago. As you probably read, the sign was a last resort. I am not that type of person who goes around destroying things for fun. Please relay my message to any other members, if this topic gets brought up.

Welcome to the forum too! I would like to cordially invite you out with us on every run. We could sure use an authoritative figure out on the trails to police and make sure no violations occur. Be sure to memorize all of the RCW's, and bring a pen and a notebook. Then at the end of the run we can go over any violations. The next trip will be next month, so free up your schedule. If a break occurs we could be out there for a while. Lunch will NOT be provided FYI. I look forward to your assistance.

Thought processes like that????? It seems as if you need to take a step back and re-analyze the situation I was in. I had a broken ball joint. My Jeep was unable to move or be towed with out the aid of a wooden ski. We used two different logs, to act as ski's before hand. Both of which had broken. Then spent over a half an hour tyring to find more fallen timber. The inexpensive 4x4 was used as a last resort. It was the sign or leave my Jeep overnight ( which would have probably been stripped). Woah there, dont think anyone needs to get too heated over this. I honestly dont think he was trying to disrespect anyone or make anyone look bad by using the sign. It was a last resort to get the jeep out. I can imagine it would be difficult to find a log in all that snow.

I do understand that people have to be smart when wheeling and respect the environment but its not like he was out there ripping apart some private land. It was just a simple makeshift repair using what was at hand. Just bring the sign back next run and put back. No harm, no foul.

That one was borrowed Bob, but its in the works going to get one soon. I knew it would be a smart idea to trailer it! Alot has changed since you seen my jeep last Bob. We should do a run together soon Elbe or Evans.

montgomery7361 Yeah it's going into a 01 tj, looks just like yours actually lol thinking about getting the metalclokes as well, that's what caught my eye.. But he has both hp30 and hp44 which is quite a bit of a difference in strength once it's all done but the 44 needs to get retubed because it was cut at the wrong Lengths, nobody seems to do that anymore and if they do it's really expensive so he's still debating... I think he'll be fine with the 30 but he's thinking why not spend the extra money if you're already dumping this much into it, so we'll see what happens..

TripleNickle If you do some research you will see that the 2 axles are very similar. And yes its way cheaper to go the hp 30 vs 44. I will have no issues once I upgrade the axles. Normally I wheel very easy on it. The last time I was out I broke my front driveline in half and the axles were ok. He putting them in a TJ?

montgomery7361 Oh damn! That sucks! Yeah my brother is trying to decide on which way he wants to go with the hp30 all chromolyd out or the 44, we think the 30 will be strong enough for the 35s but we know the 44 will be. It just costs a couple grand more..

TripleNickle HP D30 stock axles, thats why they broke. RCVs coming soon. I wheel super easy on it, just was in the deep snow pulling a guy out turning back and forth looking for traction and it caught! TING! LOL
