Senior Chief What Beastmaster said ..

All I'd add is that, around here at least, "breaking the bank" is a relative term. I spent what would be considered real grown-up money in the Harley world..... Just getting started here...

Oh and........

Beastmaster 2.5" - 3" is the max you want to go before you start to get into having to mod your steering, driveline, etc. As far as the re-gearing goes, that's not from the lift but to compensate for larger tires.
As the re-gearing goes, allot depends on what you currently have and how you want to drive.
I have an '07 JKU and came with 4:10 gears and a 6-speed from the factory and didn't have to change a thing when I modded my rig

All that being said, here's what I've done:
·Tires & wheels: 315/75R16 Wrangler Duratrac tires and 16" ProComp 7069 wheels
·Lift: 2.5" Rock Krawler Stock Mod with Blistein shocks

By the way

08 jk

New to this forum and owning a Jeep, so I will get to the point. I purchased an 08 JK and want to lift it and do not want to break the bank by regearing or extended drive shafts and so on. What type and size lift do you all recommend along with tire size and back spacing on wheels.
