traded in a 10 ford flex and a 2009 silverado for a 2013 silverado a couple months back.

If the dealer is making $$$ I don't see a reason they wouldn't allow you to trade in ten cars?

dawhitesJKU @paulgj you can only trade in 1 vehicle. I tried doing trading in my Benz and civic for a newer Benz a couple years back and the dealer wouldn't allow it. Sell one and trade 1, but 2 for 1 trade...no.

Yes, same here. Mine is a 2010 auto, which I really like, but I'm seriously considering trading both it and the Silverado for a Rubicon stick shift. I think the stick can pull the larger tires from rest somewhat easier not to mention better crawling ability. The Silverado is a stick, but I don't trust the CV thingies in the front axle in off camber rock trail driving.

paullgj Wow! My Wrangler is a 6 cyl. auto with, I think, 3.73 rear axle ratio. I doubt it could pull a 70 lb. tire like the Nitto. Maybe for the Chevrolet, small block 8, with a 5 spd, but it's not my 1st choice for the tough trails.

Sinister6 Remember 10# at the axle is equivalent to 100# in the cabin...that weight adds up quick!!!

dawhitesJKU i ran the specs on the tires you have listed. The passenger rated silent armors are the lightest, and the trail grapplers are the heaviest at 71. Great reviews on the trail grapplers as far as drivability, looks, road noise, and performance, however they are very very heavy. I would consider it dd friendly if it were on a different vehicle that has better low end torque to spin the wheels.

Nitto Trail Grappler MT on the highway?

I have both a 2011 Wrangler 2 dr and a 2004 SWB Silverado standard shift. I had been considering an AT type tire for both - Goodyear Silent Armor, General Grabber AT, or Falken Wildpeak. But I've noticed Nitto has C rate 255/75x17 Trailgrappler MT which would be great for off-road.

My question is - how is the highway behavior? Are they a little squirrelly or do they lake direction stability on the highway? Any problem with hydroplaning?
