Kingcat Because they sent them in and had the design dot approved. You can do it with a retrofit but the cost is crazy and not worth it. How many people have you seen get pulled over for a retro.

SMS 90mm Hella upgrade

I searched the web trying to find where Hella makes these but all I could find was the 90mm projection housing under "modular lamps" in the Hella parts catalog.

Can someone explain how the ones from SMS are more "legal" DOT wise than say a Acura TL projector retrofitted into some 7in round headlights? Unless these are for "Off road use only". Thank you in advance.
