Snake_Eyes Thanks for the info guys...I was hoping to get away without having to take the top panel off but what do you do? My only real concern is marring up the face of the gauges or breaking a tab. Maybe if it really does warm up this weekend I'll give it a shot!

kyvtx1300 I used a nylon trim tool to remove the electrical switches and pop the panels loose once the screws are out. They do not leave marks in the plastic.

Tweak its easy. 4 bolts. the panel under the steering wheel comes off first. just grab the top next to your steering column and pull down, you will find 2 bolts inside. the 3rd bolt is under your little storage tray up top. just pull out the rubber and you will find it. then the 4th is under your window control box. I have manual windows so you will have to figure that part out. the left dash should then come off and then the lower section should be simple to take off.

it all goes back together the opposite. surprising how easy it all fits back together.

but yea, you cant really remove the hvac panel without everything else. I can pull it all in 5 minutes it really isnt that bad.

Panel Removal Help

I've found several posts about how to remove the dash on a JK but none that just deal with removing the lower dash panel that houses the HVAC, power point, power mirror control, etc. I need to remove the power point/lighter socket from the panel.

I have a '13 JKUS.

Any help would be most appreciated!
