Again, you could spend a lot more on high quality grille inserts which are not even comparable to the budget kits... but I liked the simple look of the kit I got, especially at that price...

It seems that a stronger adhesive is a must for any of the budget grills. That's good to know...I wonder how they hold up from car wash sprays.

I bought this kit from Amazon- Jeep Wrangler JK BLACK Mesh Grille Insert Kit 07-12 : Amazon.com : Automotive
So far so good, seems quite secure. My only recommendation (and you'll notice with every other review) is use a secondary adhesive for the mounting clips. I used Water resistant Gorilla glue.
Edit: here's a picture of it

|smokey01||Looks like someone has seen all the threads and put a kit together to sell on ebay to make a couple bucks. Just how I see it|

|Wrangler1771||I just installed the grill guard from ebay tonight. Gorilla glued the entire adhesive backing and around the edges. Looks good for the money, we will see how long it holds up.|

|gillbot||Does that hood lock have a separate key? I like the fact that the mopar gets keyed to your ignition key.|

|JScullz||I'd cough up the extra couple bucks for the Rugged Ridge mesh off Amazon. Installed this over the weekend and love the look. Fair warning amazon says no drilling but that is wrong. You drill 4 holes to secure everything.|

|Raziel||Put the tabs on using the adhesive & then use epoxy around the edges of the tabs. That's what I did & they are silk on there.|

|yellowtailfan||Ya'll are giving me the itch to break out my gorilla glue and try this again... lol I suppose it's cheaper than looking for another.|

|thomm99||I went the gutter guard, mount block, and zip tie route too. I left the original adhesive tape on the blocks, but used gorilla glue around the edge. Guards are still as tight as the day I put them on even through a brutal summer. Cheap, easy, and has worked perfectly. I used the black plastic guard.|

|enjerhoo||JB weld. Cheap, easy & it's not coming off. Just be careful when you put it on. Don't get it on the front of the grill. If you use an off the shelf adhesive, make sure it is non-shrink or it's going to crack.|

Not sure if they're the same exact ones, but I ordered mesh inserts on eBay for around $20, but haven't had the chance to put them on.
I think I recall seeing something in the instructions saying you should use some sort of adhesive though.
Anybody else do the mesh inserts wether from online of DIY and if so what adhesive works best?

DIY with gutter guard & epoxy. Individual screens on the back side of each opening. Trim to fit, hand form to the inside of the grill. I let mine cure overnight.
Been on for 9 months or so & no problems. 100+ degree temps in the summer down to about -5 in the winter.

|OffRoadCam09||They really aren't to bad, for the price they look great compared to others, but I do feel if you don't put some type of adhesive on the sticky pads they will come off in time, if I have these problems with mine ill probably order the special set northridge 4x4 sells for $350(outrageous) lol|

I just boned up the extra few bucks and got the rugged ridge.. Cleaner install, nothing falls off.. all one piece.. just a better option IMO.. we are talking like an extra 20 bucks is all..

I bought the amazon version, it does use stick tabs / zip ties. After 4 months, most have fallen off. I even used gorilla tape over the stick tabs. I'm going to trash these things... start over with my own version. The fact that these are individual screens kinda sucks. I'm not too pleased with them. Just my opinion.
