bearman2005 Thanks for all the great advice.

callbob I don't think the guy was trying to be rude or snide. The sad fact is most new posters usually just want to post something. Even if the moderators posted stickies at the top with FAQ, (oh yeah they do) there will always be the question, "what size tires?, what size lift?, what brand this or that?. The facts are most of these questions are subjective anyway. Ever notice the best tire or best whatever just happens to be the one the poster has?
There is, on occasion, really good info on here. There is sadly, repeat after repeat of the same old questions. I think I counted 3 threads the other day about the exact same thing. (and it was about tires)
So yes, google can be your friend, the search feature on here is a great tool as well and sometimes a little reading comprehension goes a long way.
BTW, does anyone have any pics of stock rims with plastidip?

PStov98TJ I ran 31x10.5x15 on a 4.5" bs wheel. No rubbing at full flex or wheel lock.

RevCo666 I run with 31x10.5R15 on my jeep. No lifts, no flare cutting/swapping either Perfectly happy medium for me.

RMSpiel I'd say 31x10.5 to be safe (especially on stock rims) but if you don't wheel much and have aftermarket rims with a better back spacing (3.75) you could run 33x12.5 or 33x10.5 by cutting your fenders flat or getting flat fenders

rednickTJ Depending on what wheels you have and how much back spacing they have you could run 33/10.5/15

I guess if everybody did that, there'd be no reason for forums...

I'm new here too,but its good to see that there's always those who ,in spite of themselves, will go out of their way to be snide forum cops, and waste their time writing snobby retorts of the obvious,I stead of just not taking part at all since you've obviously covered it a million times

I'm glad he got his answer. But I'll be more careful to do my research so I don't annoy anyone...jeez

It can but considering the insane number of threads asking this exact question (of which part of come from this forum and will show up in google) I am sure you could have had your answer. It really is a question that gets asked almost once a day here. I bet if you went back no more than 5 pages youd find a thread with it asked. Glad you got your answer, the question and its answer need to go in the FAQ at the top since its the most frequently asked question.

bearman2005 Sweet. Thanks

Powerman06 31x10.5 to be more exact.

Not trying to be a jerk. Just letting you know google works wonders for researching stuff for jeeps.

Biggest Tires on stock set up

I have a 2000 TJ with a 2.5L and a 5 speed. I have 4.11 gear ratios and Dana 30/35 front and rear. I currently have 225/75-R15 tires on stock 15" rims. My question is what is the biggest tire I can run on a stock setup?
