Ole4Cyli I just got the seals and crammed the suckers in there to where they were flush. Test drove it around the block a few times, no more leaking. Probably going to silicone the outer edge tomorrow.

LiftedTj Depending on what year you have you can drop in a 1998 Dodge Durango v8 gear box in. I think it is direct bolt on through 2002, not 100% on that. Bolted right on to my '99.

Plowboy1970 I hope you have the tools to work on the box. If not, buy the $150 box.

Ole4Cyli I'm a highschool student with no job, I have plenty of time! Plus I already bought the seal kit, and I don't like buying new things if they can be fixed.

Plowboy1970 Truth, go find an Autozone and buy a new box for $150 and trade in the old box. Not worth your time messing with the old box.

Pit-man shaft, etc.

Well after fighting for hours and going through 2 pitman arm pullers, a torque wrench, and a socket adapter, I finally got my pitman arm off to replace the seals. But when I clean away all the grease from inside, it looked like the seal was pushed in about an inch into the power steering box. I'm not sure if this is the seal, or if it's a bearing of some sort and there was not a seal in there to begin with. I already tried to remove this mystery object with no luck. Who can help?
