|XwXCHADWICKYXwX||Yes, the winch is secured to the mounting plate and then the plate and bumper use the same holes to bolt to the frame. Believe you can't get to the winch nuts and screws until you remove the bolts that go into the frame. Then after you take those out it's just a matter of lifting the winch and mounting plate off since they're together then placing it somewhere you can get under the plate and undo the 4 screws and nuts. I set mine spaced out enough on 2 chairs to put on and off my winch.|

Four hidden nuts & bolts hold the winch to the mounting plate, you can't get to those nuts until the mounting plate is lifted up off where it is bolted to the frame.
Four main bolts hold the mounting plate to the frame, sometimes there will two or sometimes four more smaller non-structural bolts in the rear where the antiswaybar mounts are.

hey i need help with where the bolts on winch removal. i have a badland 12,000 winch, badland winch plate, and a smittybilt xrc front bumper. so can anyone tell me how many bolts are on there and how many?
