For a 2002 and older sound bar, 6.5" speakers fit fine. Sound pods used 2003-2006 are pretty well limited to 5.25" so far as I know.

Don't worry about how many watts the speaker will handle, that isn't important with a stock head unit that doesn't put out much power anyway. The most important specification is the speaker's Sensitivity rating. Without a high, like 90 dB or higher, Sensitivity rating, the stock head unit won't be able to drive it. Polk's DB line of speakers is one that has a sufficiently high Sensitivity rating that means it will sound good with a lower power amplifier like a stock head unit has.

Speakers with a lower Sensitivity dB rating like down in the 80's will only sound good with a fairly high powered auxilliary amplfier.

Menasor Infinity Kappa 62.9i. Just got done installing these in the sound bar of my 2013 Sport S, and they sound fantastic even with the under-powered factory head unit. They are 6.5 inch with the "plus-one" cone, they come with all the brackets, so that will save you money. Power handling is 75 watts RMS and 225 peak. You will need one pair of Metra 72-6514 speaker harnesses, and installation took about an hour, would have been quicker with a second set of hands. And they have an adjustment on the tweeter that will go from +3 db to 0db. Best all around coaxial speakers I have ever heard.
