LCG stands for Low Center of Gravity. You get your clearance from the size tires you run, not how much lift you have. You can run 2" of lift and any size tires you want really. Jeff at Rokman Offroad has an '06 Unlimited with 2"of lift on 44's, it's sick as hell, hIs rig is called "The Freak".
With 2" of lift you need to run highline fenders in the front to get the clearance for the bigger tires. Once you get much bigger than 37's you need to also open up the rear tube to allow for the bigger tire to stuff up.
It is a super functional way to set up your rig if you do a lot of off camber stuff.

|destruo||hey guys sorry im new curious what LCG stands for? and how you would go about having a lower point of gravity rig with just as much travel and clearance? i think i worded that correctly...? sounds like something id like to do. keep it low and functional|

|jasongind||With the LCG rig you still have The same amount of clearance, just keeps all the weight lower, that's the beauty of those set ups. Hell if your in FL you don't have to worry about CG then, I'll sell you my rig and you're good to go lol.|

Ya I like the look up jeeps with more clearance.
Mines more of a DD and I go on trails once and a while. I just moved to Florida so not many mountains here haha

|jasongind||I absolutely love the amount of flex I get from the long arm kit and the look of my rig as it sits. After wheeling this set up for the last year (almost) I have come to realize, at least here in the Rocky Mountains where we do a lot more rock crawling and real off camber stuff, a LCG rig is the way to go. At the height I am now, total of 5"of lift, I pull tires off the ground real easy when off camber, and that's not the most comfortable felling on a shelf road with a 3,000' cliff only inches to the side.|

The LCG build would have been cheaper than the Teraflex Long Arm kit too, unless I went with Rokmen Highline fender that run $2,500-$3,00 installed. They are sick nice, showroom quality.

Best bet is a 2"OME lift, highline fenders, and then 35's. This will give you a nice LCG rig with clearance and flex.
If I had to do it over again that's the way I'd go anyhow.

|PStov98TJ||Well if you're seriously considering 35's as a future mod then go with a 4". Or do a 3" with some tube fenders like metalcloaks. Either way you'll probably need to add a 1" bl to properly clear everything and to gain the most uptravel.|

Lift 3" or 4"
I'm running 33x12.5 and I have a 3" body lift that I'm in the process of removing.
So my new dilemma is do I get a 4" or 3" SA SL?
