NFGZ No legal spots unfortunately. Osceola is about an hour past St Augustine and has endless trails for wheeling and camping. Trying to plan a trip there in 2 weeks

OQUINSJK New to this thread! Looking for some good trails and mud holes around the area. Let me know if anyone wants to ride!

brighton +1 for Jeeptoberfest. It's a great event, the only problem has been the long lines for the obstacle courses the last couple of years because the number of jeeps has grown so much. Even just watching the jeeps and buggies on the extreme course is fun.

You might also want to check out Jeeptoberfest. It is coming up and not too far from you. Clubs from all over FL will be attending. They also have a trail for stock Jeeps if you are new to wheeling or still running a stock Jeep. Lots of friendly Jeepers.

The ones I know about are Matanzas, Southern Sands, RocksnRutz, Just Jeeps of Jacksonville, and Black Creek Jeep in Clay County which is fairly new. There may be 1 or 2 others I've missed.

I belong to Just Jeeps and also attend some of the Matanzas events. Just Jeeps meets the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Hooters on San Jose Blvd. and then rotates places to meet on a 5th Saturday. Matanzas rotates their meeting places all around the area, including St. Augustine. I've also run into jeepers from other clubs on outings and I'm sure you'd be welcome at any of the clubs, it may just depend on how close you are to the club meeting spots.

Some of us will be heading up to Jasper, GA for the Sheriff's Jeepfest next weekend so we'll miss the meeting on Sept. 6th but you'd definitely be welcome to come out to a Just Jeeps club meeting or event any time.

Scroll thru this thread. There are several depending on where you live. I'm with Black Creek Jeep out of Clay County. We're a small, jeep only club. Let me know if ya want more info.
Oh, and BTW, welcome to the forum.

PapasJP Yea, that was me at Dianne's.

We do Lochloosa if the weather is bad or if we just want a quite ride and wildlife.

Just depends on the season or hunting.

Let me know if you're going maybe I can tag along with you all.

I also do Osceola a lot and Citrus.

We must have run into you at Dianne's, a good meeting place for those of us in north Florida going to the Ocala area for Hardrock and Jeeptoberfest.

Maybe we can check out Lochloosa on a future trip to Ocala.

PapasJP If it is the rainy season:

I was part of the group at breakfast going to Lochloosa.

We had 6 Jeeps and it was dry except for 1 hole that swallowed all of us.....

What's at Lochloosa? A group of us went to Hardrock today and we ran into some jeepers from Ocala that were going to Lochloosa. Other than seeing the sign for it off of 301, I had never heard of it for off-roading.

I brought some mud back with me from Hardrock, but it was a good time even if it was so blasted hot. My jeep thermometer registered 102 degrees.

That's why I keep driving north to play in the hills and rocks of Georgia/Alabama/S. Carolina. Coming up is Sheriff's Jeepfest in Georgia, followed by Choccolocco Mountain in Alabama, and then Jeeptoberfest in Ocala. It's going to be a great couple of months of wheeling and none of it involves mud.

Misinstalled clutches, broken welds, engine they built and installed seized within 200 miles. Those are the issues that they refused to make right. I know of three guys in SSOR that they left high and dry. Shop refuses to stand by their work. All issues in the past year or so.

Ha yeah, it was a mess inside and out. It did some damage too. Blew both fog light bulbs, fog light LEDs are ruined and I'm still finding mud inside!

Daspes Dixie Land Offroad is really the only shop in town that stands behind their work. Waaaay to many issues with happy trails and over built customs. Parts. For the jeep... East coast Offroad Warehouse. He has special pricing for local guys. Just over wholesale.

Maybe not a legal place to wheel but on SR218 between Lake Asbury and Middleburg is the power lines. Plenty of access to get on and plenty of mud and water.

I'm a member of a new Jeep only club called Black Creek Jeep. I too own a Tacoma. A 2008 PreRunner that is my daily driver.
