G-Rocc Finally went through and have all of the raw footage videos up on youtube.

Gianni Vecchiarelli - YouTube

If anyone else has any video from the weekend of any of the trails let me know so we can get it into the final STF Off Road 2013 video

chuckr Thanks for a great weekend G!!!! We had a great time and got to make some new friends and see a few we hadn't seen in quite awhile.

BreckenridgeYJ Thank you! We'll have to run it again.... Ad get in a Penrose trip this summer as well. I've got a pretty significant parts list that's about to get ordered to hopefully minimize the likelihood of another break in the immediate future... I do have to say though, I'm pretty stoked it was the shaft this time and not steering again! A least I could drive it off the trail. If you know who it was that spotted me off the trail, let me know. I need to get them a case of beer. 2wd solo out of that was NOT going how I would have liked.

Carnage

Set Them Free Off Road 2013 was a huge success. A big thanks to all of our sponsors and our participants. Because of you guys we raised over $10,000 that will go toward rescuing victims that are being abused for a profit. Not only did we make a huge difference in some peoples life it seems to me that everyone had a great time. Reports from the other trails were all positive except a couple of issues with a full size truck on Iron Chest.

Andrew, sucked to see that shaft go and glad to hear you got down OK. It was my first time on Carnage and it was a lot rougher than I had expected but made it through with only a slightly bent tie-rod and I think that was the only real damage from our group but I still had a great time. That waterfall before the v-notch is un-real. Everyone had to winch after Josh including the Ultra4 buggies.

I do need to announce the "4-play award" given by Josh from Crane Hi-Clearance to Ben in the Home Grown Racing Buggie for this spectacular maneuver on the v-notch approach and I was told he drove that back to right side up.

I didn't take that many pics but I have a ton of video I need to go through and compile. Here are some of what I have can't wait to see from the other trails and more from Carnage.

BV Jeep Great trip on Chinamans too. Everyone got through without any breakage. The only noises i heard was Johns drive shaft, my tires rubbing fender flares, and skidplates scraping rocks. Great time!!! Next year we need more support from all of us here on the forum. Giani put alot into this on his own time. Lets all do what we can to make it better next year.

carguyco Hello....my kid and I already had plans for Mt Princeton this weekend but I spoke with her and she wants to make an adjustment. We cannot do any of the trails as we will be swimming but we still want to come to Vendor Village on Saturday PM. I explained what it was and she s
Was extremely excited that a bunch of guys that share our interests in Jeeps and Off Roading in general had hearts for this sort of thing.

Will there be somewhere we can make a donation?

Looking forward to meeting some of the guys on here and from all over.

Betsey and the boy are probably going to be doing the trail on foot so she would be welcome to keep Bets some company while walking Carnage.

How is the wife doing man? Is she going to be able to make it up?

I'll be up there on Sunday still but I don't think I will be able to do any trails. I'm sure there are going to be a bunch lingering around for Sunday though.

Nice! I also just spoke with Blue Torch Fab. They can have a set to me by thursday supposedly.... Although I am a little apprehensive that will actually make it via USPS from Alabama that quickly. I will give them a call now

Not happy... I may need to replace the knuckles as on of the holes is going to get damaged a bit to extract the final bolt/ez out combo

G-Rocc Here's that video Doug just mentioned. This isn't about paying to wheel it's about making a difference and getting with some friends and having a good time while doing it.

27 Million Stones - YouTube

Plus our raffle and silent auction items are over a $5k value, which means some people are going to be walking away with some pretty sweet stuff for supporting us. I would love it if this forum was the single most represented group. Let me know through a PM or email if you can't afford the full donation amount and we will make it work to have you out there.

Thank you guys for helping to make a difference!
07-22-2013 06:28 PM
BV Jeep Well the video on facebook is really informative. So where are all of our wrangler's forum supporters. Lets try to fill up these trips. All donations are going to a great cause.
07-18-2013 11:56 AM
G-Rocc Awesome Doug. I got your registration. Thanks!

Right now there are only 8 people registered for Chinaman. We need some more WF support! We had over 20 for the April fools run where are all the Wranglers for this event?

If anyone cannot afford the registration cost shoot me a PM we would rather have you be there than not and remember this is going to fund rescue missions that will literally take women and children out of the hands of their captors and place them in safe houses. We can make a huge difference together and we are almost at our fund raising goal for the event. If we had a full Chinaman Gulch and Carnage Canyon trail list we would hit our goal.

BV Jeep Giani I did get registered today. Not sure if Wife is going to attend the Friday night meal but we can figure this our later. Looking forward to helping you guys out on that weekend. Any idea on counts for the Chinaman's run. Would like to get a number so my other helpers will know. Not sure if they are going to attend the meal on Firday night but I am almost sure he is running Chinaman's as a helper for me. Besides someone has to go up the left side.

Friday I should be back in town from work around 4:00pm so if you need anything, let me know.

Dan, you need to get up that rock for all the Jeeps out there. Can't let a Yota show us up.

ooo, that sounds like a call out. John, if you make it be aware of what might come out of Dan's mouth and make sure your kid's ears are covered.

Here is a reminder, turn up your volumes and pay attention at 8 seconds just make sure you aren't at work
