Thank you Lusus_Naturae! The bulbs arrived today. I do appreciate your generosity and willingness to help a fellow Jeeper.

tomthbomb They don't twist out as I found out at the parts store. This will explain it:

Jeep Wrangler Fog Light Bulbs Replacement Guide - 2007 To 2011 Model Years - Picture Illustrated Automotive Maintenance DIY Instructions

My local parts store did not have them. The Jeep dealer did for $26 + tax not the $50+ I have seen in some threads. Still high though. I will not be running them except when really needed going forward.

I was at the local auto parts store today and tried to remove a bulb to take in to be sure I bought the correct one. The bulb socket would not bulge! If I had tried to turn it any harder something would have broken (the socket or my hand). I did manage to pull the wiring harness out from the socket but that's all.

Suggestions?

BTW, now both fogs don't work. My wife's 2007 they have not burned out yet. I do use mine much more that she uses hers.

Anyone buy from a local parts store?

Circa1973 This is a little off topic, but who else thinks the fogs should stay on when you use the high beams? I was thinking about changing my front bumper out and using the fog light leads to power new off road lights, so I don't have to add another switch in the cab.

SilverSport Some dealers will replace bulbs as a goodwill gesture.

Phaedrus The dealer gave me a new one covered under warranty. Replaced it myself in 5 minutes. I gave the dealer the burned out bulb back.

tomthbomb Ok, has anyone done it themselves?

GeckoJK Bulbs are only covered for 12000 miles or 1 year under warranty.

CLRUBI13 I'm pretty sure that a light bulb won't be covered under the "bumper to bumper" warranty. I believe that is considered a wear item... Tires,brakes,wipers...etc. there's my 2 pennies.

Has your fog light burned out?

I have 400 miles until my bumper to bumper warranty runs out. I just saw that one of my fog light bulbs is not working. Is it worth putting the Jeep in the shop for a day or should I just buy a bulb and do it myself?

Maybe the bulb is not covered?
