Just in case u wanted a pic with the zj swap I have zj front coils with 1in spacer and moved the stock front springs to the rear the 1 in spacer was to level out the rake and I have the 4.0

|apaTJ||Funny you say that cus I bought skyjacker nitros to go with my lift. There may still be a 35 dollar mail in rebate on them at 4wd hardware. I paid about 180 for the set not including the rebate. The hydro ones are a little cheaper. I like the ride its better than stock. Many people will criticize them for not being made here but I think there pretty good. But you can get many different basic twin tube shocks for around 120 a set. I don't have experience with any others besides rough country and they were pretty stiff.|

|apaTJ||I just installed rustys 3 inch in front and 2 in rear coils. I love the ride. I didn't measure the exact lift but the jeep sits level and looks great. You'll probably get close to 2.5 but if you get a little more it won't hurt anything. Keep in mind rustys does offer 2 spring rates 150 and 180 ( i assume your talking about the standard 150) and you could get 2 inch lift 180lb hd springs and you wont have any loss from your heavy bumper. I prefer the softer ride though which is why i chose the 3 in 150lb ones. You don't " need" new shocks but it will limit your down travel quite a bit. You could make a spacer for the front shocks as long as you make sure they don't too out and extend the bump stops if necessary. I would definitely recommend new coils vs zj coils especially if its only 25 more dollars or so.|

|gbendezu||Yeah i just dint wanna take a huge risk with the lift and pay 75 for used springs that might give me to much or not enough. Also would i need new shocks? The po put brand new Monro shocks all around right before ibought the Jeep so they are still pretty great|

|CarolinaBound||Buncha guys have run that set up, if ya dig through my old threads there's a decent discussion about it. Either works, would go with what you can get cheaper and/or easier. The 2" won't be enough to get rid of the forward rake unless your springs are sagging a pretty huge amouint.|

I just installed a 2" Rusty's lift. Excellent quality and priced right.
I will say installing a coil spring lift is much harder than the old leaf spring lifts.

Rusty´s 3 inch vs zj spring?
Hey guys,i have a 99 tj sport that im thinking about lifting, i swapped the front bumper for the smittybilt src one(80lbs). originally i was planning on doing the zj lift and spacers on the rear but from what ive seen its really a gamble with that lift. some people get 3.5 inches some people get 1 and others get the 2.5 that i want. since i dont have that much money, i was thinking about getting the rustys 3 inch springs for the front (hoping that with the weight of the 4.0 and the bumper would be enough to bring it down to around 2-2.5, and just go with spacers in the rear. has anyone had any experience with rustys?
